Hello folks. Been watching all this for a while.

I got a Mongoose and FDRS license for the first time yesterday and ran through the process to apply all the outstanding updates to my 2023 Lariat.

I didn't have any problems; all the updates I ran seem to have gone through their process successfully. No DTCs prior, and no DTCs now afterwards. However:
  • ACM update was apparently successful, but didn’t clear (as previously reported)
  • Another module whose name escapes me (Remote Function? Bluetooth Low Energy?) applied successfully, but didn't clear (as I believe has been previously reported)
I applied the IPMA update before the PSCM update, which applied successfully and then immediately moved on and applied the PSCM in sequence, also apparently successfully. The PSCM update was not removed from the list of pending updates though, even after a clear-and-retest and a close/reopen of FDRS. So, I applied the update to the PSCM directly, with the same result.

As a follow-on I tried running the "IPMA- Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Configuration" process as described by @Mike G in #4,096, but no change—PSCM still shows in the pending updates list.

I went for a drive last night and everything seems fine with the truck; no dashboard warning lights, cameras all work and are in the correct dimensions, BlueCruise is working (though apparently in whatever pre-1.4 state I was in before).

I think this aligns with at least some other folks here who have not been able to get the PSCM update to clear, but consider me another data point. If I've missed a step or there's something else I can try before midnight tonight, happy to try and get that done. Otherwise I'll likely let this ride for a bit and see if these changes shake any OTAs loose.

Thanks all for your ongoing insights! This is a great community.
Same experience as me. Note that you do “have” BC 1.4. While you haven’t enabled the new toggles for lane change functionality (which IMO is more a gimmick), you do benefit from improved functionality and should experience fewer dropouts and smoother behavior.

Yeah, I don't know why the process of separately running the IPMA Config afterward worked for me and a few others months ago, but is seemingly not working for anybody who tries it now. And it seems to be mostly with '23 models. At least that's my impression.

PSCM didn't clear for my 22 after I did it last weekend.

No idea why it worked for a few of us early on, but not anymore.

I still have the ACM and RFA updates in the list, but one or the other of those have cleared for other people that did them after I did. 🤷‍♂️

My RFA cleared after I did the BCM update. I just can’t remember if it was the BCM that caused it clear or if I ran it again afterwards it was a couple months ago. I should document this stuff better.😵💫

Edit: I just realized I can probably look through my notes/logs in FDRS I will try to do that when I have time!

Did you guys need to have an NASTF registry log in to update the BCM?

Yea, you can't do the BCM. Just move along to the next one.

Thanks. How do I do the IPMA? It doesn’t show up on my SW list.

The only reason the IPMA would not be showing a pending update is if it was already updated. Looking back on our convos via PM, the dealer updated your IPMA/PSCM on 12/20. It is already on the BBC version which is the latest for BC 1.4.

ACM and PSCM are known to not come off the list. The RFA can be a PITA to get it to update from my understanding. Not sure if there is a trick for that one to get it to go through or if it also just does not come off the list. I will have to defer to @Mike G or someone that has more experience with the EV's on that one.

My RFA and ACM are still in the list from months ago.

There are some folks who have managed to get rid of one or the other, but not both. Don't really know how that happened.

So basically, do it once and ignore it like the ACM.
