Anyone else still w/o BC 1.4?

My Lightning as at the dealer right now getting the IPMA and PSCM updates. I asked my service writer if they could activate BC 1.4, he was pretty clueless but said he would ask the service technician. I’m not very optimistic but I will post what I hear back from the technician.

I got my Lightning back. The service report says that they updated a bunch of modules related to BC but I can’t tell any difference. The report does say that they checked the engine oil level, the engine coolant level and the automatic transmission fluid level so at least I got that done.

TIPS to get past failed installs:

Make sure your 12v battery is fully charged.
Truck is far enough away from Fordpass and key fobs so the truck isn't interrupted.

I usually leave my keyfob in it and then lock the doors with the now optional SecuriCode Keypad.

That way it doesnt go apeshit over my Phone as a Key.

Last I checked Lightnings had no engine oil or transmission to speak of. Let alone engine or coolant. There is battery coolant which was topped off at my service interval.

No, he owns a Lightning and was just using dry humor there. He needs to update his Vehicles under Account Details though. Or add a signature.

I tried a Waymo Self-Driving taxi in San Francisco this week, and it was flawless. If that's the competition, Ford should just quit now. It's like they are fighting off a coordinated drone attack by throwing rocks.

I just had this recall/update done on my Lariat ER. I was positive that I had the latest BC version because it now activates Hands Free when I turn on cruise control. I read that somewhere here that that was something that came with BC 1.4, but I tried it several times and it doesn't change lanes automatically like the loaner my dealer gave me, 2024 ICE XLT. Maybe my truck will be recognized that IPMA updates are installed and ready for BC 1.4, and will update soon.

I know I am monotonous but still no software updates since October 2023 on my 2022 Lariat LR. It's going to the dealer tomorrow as the recall 23B50 (charge port temp) was meant to be solved with a software update but nothing received as per usual. It's really irritating not receiving OTA updates I hope they can solve it.

So I just got the truck back after a week at the dealer and the result was strange.

they could find nothing on my VIN about needing recall 23B50 and after checking for a few days with Ford they concluded that the recall is not applicable to my truck and the letter was sent in error!

They checked all software updates and said nothing needed updating everything was fine and I am receiving software updates. Last update was December 2024 but I’m not getting any messages in the Ford app any more about updates, did they stop happening?

Final instalment of story is I got in truck and it has a software update showing that received 10.1.0 so clearly it did need an update. Apparently I now have Karaoke but there is no app showing.

Conclusion is I give up on trying to work out how all these software updates are meant to work and I still don’t have BC1.4.

It seems to me that the vast majority of members here, do not have BC 1.4.
