6.14.0 was my most recent update back on 9/6, it's now 6+ weeks and nothing more has come about, so I did power down (disconnected LVB) for 30 minutes, don't know if this will help or not.

I had gone from July to October with no updates and then a flurry.
10/10 - Got PU6.14
10/11 -23-PUO813-DOR-UP2
10/16 -ECG 24.2.5.6.2
10/19 - Software update 10.1 Karaoke and Public Charging

2022 Lightning Displays Multiple Faults at Startup


Hi all,

I've been watching this forum for a couple years now and finally have something to post!

I drove my '22 Lightning home yesterday, plugged it in to my Ford charger, it charged up to 80% successfully in the evening, and I went to bed. This morning I loaded the kids up to head out and there were multiple faults rotating through the cluster: Front Motor Fault Service Required, Service AdvanceTrac, Pedestrian Surround Fault Service Now, Trailer Break System Fault See Manual, Cross-Traffic System Fault, there might have been another one in there. Tried to turn it off and back on, wait a while, etc. and no dice. I got an update a few days ago, but it was successful and everything has been fine. I haven't had any other issues with it. Any thoughts that might help? Of course this happens on a Sunday when the dealer is closed, right before Labor Day... when I'm guessing they're closed.

It’s at the dealership right now. Hopefully that’s it, but I’ll report back when they figure it out.
Just in case anyone is interested in my saga from 4 months ago... I'll try to keep this short.
  • Turns out the problem was a critter eating through the main wiring harness.
  • Part was back-ordered forever
  • Ford finally agreed to cover this under NY Lemon Law (even though it was over in miles)
  • Just picked up my new 2024 Lariat Lighting today
  • If anyone wants any specifics let me know, but happy to have a Lightning back! Happy Holidays!

I got this update finally today, following getting 6.8.0 installed last week. I'm slowly inching my way towards being current! I think ECG-24.2.5.6.2 is coming next week for me.

I think where I like the new top bar icons most is on dark mode, they blend better.

Leave your truck running while you are out. I recieved 6.5.0, 6.8.0, 6.14.0, and then the ECG all with in or two days of each other.

Congrat's this is typical progression from a MY22 point of view.

I only know how to select software update details in menu.
Latest is 10.1.0
I've never seen ECG-24.2.5.6.2 format.

24.2.5.6.2 might have been pulled off the shelf in lieu of 24.2.5.6.3

I've been meticulously documenting each update as they occur, look at the last 90 day list. Software Update History

Just glad that Ford is continuing to catch up more trucks.

For these updates, just starting the truck would trigger the download. I know you're being safe, while leaving it running, but truly that part isn't necessary. Once started it will continue to download and install if you shut it off.

Just glad that Ford is continuing to catch up more trucks.
I expected that due to the 12v draw, the cellular modem may not be continuously powered if the truck was turned off.

I know that the update availability and frequency is determined on Fords end, however updates essentially stalled for multiple months and only resumed when I happened to run the truck for a few hours in good cell coverage due to work. I have since either left the truck running, or did long drives, and have now received 6.4, 6.5, 6.8, 6.14, and the ECG all roughly one day apart. I have seen others get a few of the same updates but not anyone getting all of them back to back like that.
