Yes, and they don't give those answers because they don't have those answers to give. It isn't no, it isn't yes, there is no answer yet.
We don’t know that because they don’t speak up. Even something as simple as “we hear your feedback and are looking into it” would be better than crickets.

Slightly off topic, but sort of on topic too since it is survey related. I received a new survey by email for Ford from Toluna on security package options. Of course leaning towards a subscription, but they do offer a question on what would you pay and "included" is one option to pick.

Anyhow, for those interested in a Pet Mode, that is one of the options for the "security package". Some other interesting ideas too. Nothing on camera recording yet. Anyhow, I encourage you to give your opinion if you get the email. Took about 10 minutes to answer it.

When customers report a problem or desire to change the software, actually submit those change requests to a software team that is actively working to improve the software. Every day! Like Tesla does.
I have a hunch that they do. But one of the things I put on the survey was for them to tell us what they are doing behind the scenes. It would be nice if they said, "thank you for your suggestion, I've forwarded it to the software development team."

My rear view screen still says "Full View Not Available" - has been a problem for 2 years. No response from Ford.

I think if you just focused on having a robust infotainment system, you would fix so many of the issues. EV enthusiasts are in essence tech enthusiasts.

Appreciate that they’re interested in getting our feedback - just unclear when they will wrap up & share any course corrections.
Straight forward, took couple minutes to complete.

Sent feedback, hoping they listen and not just like creating survey's now. With Farley's leadership and direction it's not likely we'll see much change however. He just liked the TV spots with Biden and they've been backpedaling ever since.

With respect to Ford Motor Company's presence in the F-150 Lightning Forum, what would you like to see more of?
Detailed answers to our technical questions by Ford engineers participating in the forum. Especially for software updates, but mechanical/electrical as well. See previous responses to detailed surveys submitted to Ford.

Anything else you'd like us to know?
Need assurance of two day HV battery replacements (some are taking over a month, and this is affecting 4% of Lightnings). Monthly over the air updates that complete all the control modules' missing updates shown by FDRS software. Quarterly software updates to user interfaces that keep 2022 Lightnings equal as possible to newer user interfaces on the Instrument Panel & Center Display. See our feedback on desired improvements.

And, BTW, the survey submit button did not work! @Ford Motor Company

Here's a good one. My biggest complaint is the lack of privacy but the only way I can tell them is to agree to the (lack of) privacy policy. T

Here’s a fun one for you Mr. FMC bot- My truck’s malfunctioning shifter almost got me killed last night.

2024 Lariat, 4k miles. This is the 3rd time this glitch has happened, and the first time since picking the truck up from warranty replacement of shifter last Friday 2/14.

I begin to pull out of a side street onto a main road which has a bit of a curve (at night), and to the left see the headlights of an approaching vehicle, so I quickly reverse to yield right of way.
No response. Shifter indicated D no matter what, with no motion of the truck in any direction regardless of pedal application.

The other truck’s operator was luckily paying attention and swerved around me at 45+ MPH with his horn blasting, afterwards all I had to do was get out, pop the hood and disconnect the 12VB for a minute to get the shifter to reset. No big deal.

I’ll definitely be contacting the Ford service dept when they open, but thought I should put this out here also.

Hello F-150 Lightning owners –

We announced last month that you’ll begin to see some changes in how Ford manages the brand’s contributions to this forum. Among those changes will be delivering customer feedback surveys on a consistent basis to inform future improvements to our presence here. Your feedback also helps us deepen our understanding of our customers and their relationship to the brand and our products.

Take the survey here: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/1e0d7ce009c34b60ae2ac6b61ed0cb00

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Your participation is greatly appreciated! If you’d like the opportunity to discuss your responses with us, you’ll have the option to provide your email address so we can reach out directly.

  • The Ford Communications & Customer Experience Teams
The app needs work . Programmed departure does not work on my 2023 Lightning unless I go out and unplug and replug in the charging cable an hour before I need to leave . Also it would be nice if the remote start would also precondition the battery since I don’t have consistent departure times . Thanks
