A 90-second video worth watching from @tommolog on a SC fire in Littleton, Mass. Bottom line - this is what EA and others need to strive to be. EV infrastructure is unfortunately under attack by "activists" and I'm sure this is Tesla's way of saying you can't make them go away.

I live in MA and heard about this incident. But didn’t hear how Tesla replaced all these in 48 hours. Damn that is extremely fast. There was a ChargePoint fast charger on my commute that was dead for months until it was finally fixed it.

I am not proud of enjoying some of this. For all I know, the dude that was driving the Cybertruck could be a decent guy who is a patriot that wanted to show off his American car. Maybe at most he had bad judgment for paying that much for that piece of ….. He may not deserve this treatment.

But if that act of terrorism (as our friend up here may call it) makes it a little more difficult for Mr. Musk to buy another government, I am all for it. I don’t hate musk for what I see on the news. I hate him for what I see at home. My wife is a Fed that has loved and served this country for decades. She is one of the smartest most dedicated people I know. She was recently diagnosed with cancer. Her Chemo therapy makes her immune system weak. So now instead of remote work, she has to drive almost 50 miles each way to be packed like sardines with others who may be infected in a small room, waiting to lose her job and insurance in middle of all this, decided by a dropout teenager.

Her teammates are across the country. They all go through these logistic nightmares in CA, NY, MD, so they can talk to each other remotely (not face to face) in an unsecured office where the guy two feet away may not have the necessary security clearance to listen to that conversation. I am not a democrat, and party politics mean nothing to me but if someone rejoices with a chainsaw in hurting my family through legalized (most lawyers say it is illegal) terrorism, I won’t feel bad about someone throwing a banana at a cybertruck. I know this may get deleted but I had to get it out of my system.

I drive my Lightning and a Tesla MY. I remind you that Henry Ford was an isolationist who did not want the US to become involved in WW II and who had a top aid (Harry Bridges) who in the late 1930s used actual brutality against his own workers who wanted to unionize. Not mentioning Porsche, MB, and BMW. Sure I regret that Musk is connected with Tesla but driving dynamics of my Y are to me much more enjoyable than MME. However I would not be inclined to buy another Tesla while Musk is still its leader.

Henry Ford was an antisemite.

The sins of the father...

Ford has made many moves over the years to disavow those views. The fact that your ancestors did something wrong is not a reflection on you, unless you espouse those views and behavior.

Private owners of vehicles should not be punished or harassed by people for the views of the CEO IMO. That said, if you bought a Tesla after his wave to the crowd, that's disturbing to me. But your private property shouldn't be harmed.

Tesla Cybertruck owners have reported vandalism and harassment, and that needs to stop. But it's hard to hide a dumpster on wheels in a crowd.

I hope at a minimum we can all agree on this. It's disheartening to say the least that people feel this kind of vandalism is in any way acceptable.

I would not contribute to any business Musk can profit from even if he is not CEO and just a major stock holder. I know at this point, with his hand in U.S. treasury, he does not need my support of Tesla but in this country, the only way people are heard is through their spending.

How much of this would go away if the was a true "rule of law" thing going on? I think it's in some way similar to the shooting of the United Healthcare CEO in that people feel there's no checks and balances going on.

The Daily Cleveland Herald, March 29, 1869, quoted lawyer-poet John Godfrey Saxe that:
“Laws, like sausages, cease to inspire respect in proportion as we know how they are made,”

Maybe if the legislators rolled up their sleeves and got down to making the required concessions to pass legislation then perhaps these sorts of events wouldn't happnen ... I don't know.

Oh by the way, how much of what we are all seeing comes down to the amount of money (ooops "free speech") that is is invested (ooops "donated") into the election process on both "sides" (ooops "our leaders")

I’m giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, and very much not trying to be argumentative but search Bill Nye today… there are many similar awkward similar arm waves from all political persuasions

I’ll roll with Netanyahu’s opinion.
