Congratulations - My order was also put in on 9/7 and confirmed by my dealer also on 9/7, but is not scheduled yet. Difference is 311A vs 312A and standard tires vs AT.
I hadn't seen that there was a build date assigned within the build week, but I guess for me it will be on Friday.
I purchased my MMe with a similar price increase / protection earlier this year. The protection was managed as a rebate to my dealer - so I paid the order price before the increase and the dealer got a refund from Ford on their invoice. Not saying this will be the same, but could be.
Who told you it was set at $7000? Customer service told me that your private offer has no set value until your truck is delivered to the dealer. The reason being is that the private offer will be adjusted to take in account any and all price increases. So I confirmed with the Ford Rep that barring any other increases I will get a $12000 private offer at the of delivery. My dealer basically confirmed this process as they told me they will honor the private offer but don't know the amount until the truck arrives and they bring up my account on the smartVincent system.
My dealership. I have an image of the trim level (pro) and the associated offer ($7000) in their system, but to your point maybe the offer will change when the truck is delivered to reflect the price increase.
There was an email/memo initially sent to dealers that spelled out the private offer details regarding the initial price increase, which would be that $7000. Possibly that is what they are going off. But again the private offer comes from Ford and is put directly in your account so your dealer wont see a true amount until delivery. Call ford customer service to verify if you want. I do plan on calling them again when my delivery happens.
