Looking at it, it is a purchase agreement, but there's plenty of language that allows me to cancel such as low appraisal on a trade in, or any damage/defects from the manufacturer.

Got the email within 2 hours of United Road sending me an email that the truck had been delivered to the dealership.

Dealer just called, truck finally rolled in. Hopefully bringing her home tomorrow.
That's great! I spoke with my dealer this afternoon and he said mine is sitting in Albany. Hopefully just a matter of days.

Just got an update from Ford chat:

I see that your vehicle is currently in transit via Railcar # TTGX254358 (Canadian National Railways ). It is located at Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI. Its current ETA is between Jan-21-2023 and Jan-27-2023.
Truck has landed!!

Yes, this sounds the same as what they are telling me. They also said their systems only update on M/W/F, so a lot can change before the system updates.
My dealer received dates have moved up and then back out, so who really knows. Guess I’ll keep waiting.
Just spoke to Ford again and they are now agreeing with the Dealership that it is indeed on a chip hold and don't have a new ETA.

At the dealership, they're washing the truck and doing the paperwork. 12/21 in production to a 1/20 delivery. Not bad. For anyone's curiosity, my estimated arrival was 1/2, 1/3-1/9, 1/6-1/12, 1/27-2/2, and it made it here in between. Not bad. Big truck, lots of room, we'll see how it drives on this long 2hr trip.

Welp, got to see her, unfortunately dealer doesn't understand the $5000 price matching rebate Ford should be issuing for the October increase that is now reflected on the sticker. Is there any guidance for dealers? Showed them the memo for the October price change that was circulating here about how orders prior should be unaffected, but they claim they never received it. They reached out to their regiona Ford rep, they say "I should be happy I'm even getting the $7000 PCO, I wouldn't expect anything else from Ford". Dealer was kind enough to sign and date paperwork stating they'll forward any rebate they receive from Ford. They state price matches usually go through Smart Vincent and all they see is the $7000 PCO. Are dealers really expected to front the extra $5000 and hope Ford reimburses them in 45 days? I would imagine that needs to be documented somewhere.

@Ford Motor Company how are you screwing this up so badly to the point where your own dealers don't understand the process?

First impressions, I see why the F-150 is popular. It has significantly better visibility compared to my Ranger. Drives well, blue cruise is awesome, the auto speed sign reading was awesome. Driving to the dealership took work in my Ranger XL, driving back in the Lariat ER was a massive difference. I hope everyone gets theirs soon, this is the real deal. Helped my dealership was awesome, gave me a super generous trade in and paperwork took seconds.

Interesting note, truck appears to have shipped or was updated prior to delivery. It has the most recent update with the multi control knob.

@boggle that really sucks. The dealership system is so messed up. Hopefully Ford will come through with the $5k. Not sure what I would do other than take it up with Ford. I may not take delivery if the dealer doesn't honor the order price.

Rather embarassing that we have to go to the dealer expecting to have a hard time. Par the course with the rest of this vehicle's order process, I guess. Dealer was at least understanding and acknowledged all the evidence provided, saw that the base MSRP from my order on Aug 11 of $46,974 increased to what is now invoiced another $5,000 up to $51,974. What is the recourse if Ford never comes back with the price match rebate? How would we know one way or the other? I'm supposed to trust that the dealer will tell me they received $5,000 automatically back from Ford in 45 days when neither I nor the dealer have any communication from Ford that that will be the case? I find it hard to believe we've been relegated to the honor system. @FordVideoGuy, is this really the way it's designed to work, do you guys receive anything from Ford actually detailing this process?

I can technically finish the purchase with the dealer but I don't want to miss some bullshit undocumented mechanism that the dealer must submit or will otherwise deny me that $5,000.
