you can check Software Updates for any updates you've received in the last 90 days or so. If you're curious what modules you have showing updates, you can check with someone with FDRS or PTS access. I had 20+ modules with pending updates when I checked my 23 last fall.
I don't see any Software Updates in my app anymore. I do recall seeing it previously, but the details were absent, just saying that the software was updated without any details. It would be good to have a page that says exactly what is updated, what is pending. And preferably how to get those updates completed.

20+ modules with pending updates? It sounds like the automatic updates is not working. And I agree with the earlier posts that Ford has really dropped the ball on their software management. Dealers should be paid by Ford to perform these updates if the OTA system and/or the customer cannot complete them.

I have BC1.4 on my 2022 Platinum, delivered via OTA, but I do not have WAL.

I was getting regular updates until I had 6.14 fail for some random reason (non 12v related) and never could get it to complete so I ended up buying a mongoose and updating everything (sans BCM) myself. That gave me the ability to enable updated blue cruise, new APIM icons, EV routing in google maps, etc. Only took 6 hours...

Just wondering if anyone with a 22-23 has bc 1.4 or walk away lock? Just feeling like at this point they will never send it. Or is there a way to activate if I buy forscan
I have WAL, but not 1.4 BC.

For WAL, the dealer would need to update the BCM for it to work. It's enabled by default after they update it so the dealer obviously didn't update "everything". FORScan is just needed if you want to disable it.
I donā€™t want WAL unless there is a way to disable it, and I donā€™t have a FORScan setup. Are there CSPs/TSBs I should tell my dealer not to do if I bring the truck in for something so I avoid getting WAL?

If you have your truck in for service, just tell them to make sure they don't update the BCM but there's really no guarantee they'll listen. I had them update mine while in for the battery sensor update but most dealers aren't going to spend anymore time than necessary and will only update what is explicitly listed in the CSP. BCM only takes about 5min though. If they do inadvertently update it, FORScan is fairly straight forward if you have a Windows machine and the adapter is only $60.

I know you are right. The advisor said to me ā€œford wonā€™t pay us to do updatesā€ I got the software recall done and dealer said they did everything. Who knows whatā€™s true
Probably not true

This past Friday I had a heated dispute with the service advisor when I asked if there was an update related to some inconsistent charging issues ( https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/ecg-24-2-5-7-gateway-module.24869/ ) and was told that software wasnā€™t covered under warranty unless it caused a hardware issues. I asked him how charging issues after an update wasnā€™t possibly a hardware issue caused by the softwares and he told me that they would need me to pay $220 to determine if it was covered by the warranty. I didnā€™t ask for the latest updates just that they make sure nothing in the update was hung up or improperly installed. $220 is what Price Ford of Simi was trying to get to just check and see if it had installed the latest update that was pushed correctly. Itā€™s not unfeasible that dealers have no incentive to proved updates, Ford needs to get their OTA software resolved because some of us have some really crummy dealers with really poor service departments that hate seeing an EV show up. 2023 Lariat ER-none of the aforementioned features installed but wishing they were with or without a dealer.

While at my dealer this morning, I asked if they could do the updates so that I could receive Blue Cruise 1.4. The service rep said that Ford does not pay them to do these updates, so I would have to schedule a separate time to have them do updates that were not under warranty.

i then contacted Ford customer service, who were surprised to hear this. After several holds, the official response was that the update may be under warranty, but the labor to check to see if it was is not..

i guess Ford is giving the crummy dealers a way to cover their costs/make a profit.

I don't think it's as simple as just having the dealer update to BC 1.4. iirc 1.4 only went OTA to those in EAP and not sure even the latest IPMA/PSCM updates in FDRS actually enable lane change/in-lane repositioning. It's likely it would need to be enabled in FORScan and the dealer isn't going to do that as it's not Ford approved.
