My truck is at the service center right now, the 1.4 update was stuck and they are looking into it.
Updated: I got it back, $500 later, and they said they updated it. It did in fact not update, there is no update in the update history, it no longer appears on the screen, and it does not have BC 1.4....

I would try DM'ing your vin to @rugedraw or @Mike G and see if they can provide any insight.

Updates with FDRS will not show in your touchscreen. If the dealer did do the updates, it would still not give you the new BC features. You would have to enable them yourself with FORScan. Send me the VIN and I can check what they did.

I know they don't appear from FDRS but they claimed they got the OTA to come through when I asked. Here's my vin: 1FT6W1EV7NWG13417

F*cking liars. This is the type of stuff that makes dealers look bad and gives people like me who are dealer employees a bad rep. All they updated was the GWM, and the OTA for BC 1.3 was sent, but it failed to install as it was canceled by the cloud. If they hadn't charged you any money, I would just let it slide, but if you paid them $500 for them to update the GWM only, that is utter and complete BULL SH*T. Keep in mind that your service advisor most likely does not know any better and is going by whatever the tech told him, but you got ripped off.

With all of that said: Your truck is updated enough for BC 1.4 to be enabled with FORScan if you wanted to do so.

Should I update it with FORScan or should I wait for a new OTA? I have a FORScan license. Where is the thread?

Wait, why did this cost you $500?

This infuriates me. If updates in your vehicle are jacked up and it takes a service visit to get it straightened out (even if they did get it done correctly), how is this possibly not something covered as part of covered service unless you did something to screw it up?

99% of people who think they have problems getting updates don't including him. The problem is the slow and unpredictable OTA process. Dealer won't do it because Ford won't pay them to do it and nobody likes to work for free. I have no issues with that and take the dealer's side 100% of the time on this.

However, the moment you take someone's money and say you are going to do something and don't, that is a problem.
