That is very true I had the door off twice and pulled the window seal out so I had a good head start on what to do. Plus I never replaced the triangle piece by the mirror, the cover under the door handle and the red reflector. I did find a foam washer on the garage floor that fell off one of door clips. I may have to go back in and replace it. Probably just stops potential rattle.

I had purchased the trim piece with cutout. But I also bought a template to make the cutout off eBay. The precut piece arrived first so I used it. I just cut out the original trim. Does anyone want it? I’m a trusting guy. Just pay shipping and it works for you then send me another $30. You’ll save about $50. It cost me $102 for the cutout piece from Tasca with tax and shipping.

I found a two key procedure to get my code. I also found two settings, one in BCM that lists keypad. When I enabled it updated 726-31-01 xxxx xx01 xx—. I also found a keypad in APIM and I enabled that. It updated 7D0-01-02 xxxx x2xx xx—.
both of these I had written on scrap paper I had written down awhile ago.

Finished my Securicode install this weekend when I installed new speakers in the front doors.

Fishing that wire through was an absolute pain, and I also dropped a screw in the door which I had to fish out (careful when attaching the new trim piece, every screw hole for the trim is directly over the window chsnnel). Programming was, as usual, the easiest part.

I didn't realize the backlights are now that crisp white LED and not the old green backlight, it's a nice touch that matches the puddle lights.

@jimfigler Thank you for your help, I utilized the same settings you mentioned here with no issues.

Accidently discovered a nifty shortcut today. Entering my code a second time within a short period of time, opens the frunk.

You made me go outside and try a bunch of options on mine. Turns out just hitting 7/8 after my code opens my frunk!
So Cool!!

Does just 7/8 work for you?
Wondering if you just hit that again anyway as part of your code?

Also, my button under the grill won’t shut Frunk after I open it this way. Yours the same?

I was able to successfully install the securicode keypad on my 23 Pro today, thanks for the help @BennyTheBeaver and @jimfigler (your trim piece worked perfectly).

Hardest part, as everyone has said, was fishing the wire down, but it wasnt too bad. Just jam something down the hole after it (i used a wire fish thing), and eventually youll be able to grab it from inside the door. I also lost a screw down the door, luckily i found it without too much fuss, i was able to get my hand down to the bottom of the door and found it.

took me under 2 hours total, most of that time felt like pushing the wire down and then finding the missing screw. other than that, it was pretty straightforward.

I found this video helpful for removing the trim piece.

Ok thanks. I hope it’s a fluke. It was closed when I check the camera alert I received when package arrived so I know for sure it was closed while watching tv at home (not holding key fob).

Pressing 7/8 after entering code will open Frunk.
Pressing 3/4 after entering code unlocks rest of doors other than drivers door.
