Hi Lightning Owners –

We wanted to let you know that if you have an annual or monthly BlueCruise subscription plan or are coming up on the end of your 90-day complimentary trial, Ford is lowering the annual and monthly pricing plan for all BlueCruise-equipped vehicles. Here are the details:
  • New pricing will be $495 annually and $49.99 monthly.
  • This new pricing goes into effect today, October 1, 2024.
  • If you are a current BlueCruise customer, you will see the new price reflected on your next payment.
  • If you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, BlueCruise can be easily activated via the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile.
We are also pleased to share that if you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle you can now earn and redeem FordPass® Rewards Points toward a BlueCruise subscription. If you’d like to use your Points, simply go to the FordPass app under the Connected Services tile, and choose to redeem your Points for some or all of your BlueCruise subscription. You also now earn Points when you purchase BlueCruise!

We hope you continue to enjoy hands-free highway driving!

Hello, I am a current BlueCruise customer. Bought my Lightning about week and half ago. Thru the window sticker I paid for 3 yrs ($2100) subscription plan. Will my plan be adjust for this new pricing? Not looking for rebate, just adjust the length of subscription plan reflecting the new pricing for $2100.

As someone with a truck on BC1.0, I have no plans to extend my subscription, even for $500. The tech is cool but knowing there is an upgraded version, that I was told I'd be getting I might add, I can't in good faith continue to pay for something that is outdated.

On a positive note from this announcement, I would be willing to pay $50 for a month if I'm taking a big road trip.

99.9% no. You bought before the change, just like the person that paid to renew it weeks ago.

I too just purchased a Flash in
Sept.. and purposely avoided all vehicles with the $2100 BC prepayment. To me it was a joke to pay in advance when you have a 3 month trial to decide if you like it or not.

Honestly is a small step up from my wife's Honda Hybrid CRV that already has lane centering and adaptive cruise control.. other than hands free driving, it's exactly the same thing -$2100.

And it's not exactly Hands free. You need to pay attention when it's no longer a Blue light special.

Sorry you got conned into a $2100 upfront payment, but that's what car salesmen are good at. And why I believe Ford blew it offering upfront purchase for more than what you can buy it now for..

Even at this price reduction…the current lack of features and its uselessness to roads in our area we drive…it is not a mature enough product yet to deserve these prices. A drop to $25mo or ~$200 year would be closer to what it actually does. It’s nowhere close to T$LA FSD offerings yet….
All this is of course is JMHO.

It would help if we knew what the newest version of BC was all about
That's another reason it's not worth the cost. We were promised an upgrade over a year ago. A year. That kind of delay is outrageous, and there is no explanation as to why. Why would I pay for a service that has this kind of track record?

I’m also in the September Flash club — I did not buy the prepaid BC and will probably take the “monthly when I have a road trip” approach.

I only would add that I came from two Hondas in a row, a Clarity then an Ridgeline, and their lane-keeping is a joke compared to the BC-centering. BlueCruise is very aggressive around bends and curves, whereas Honda would just… give up and ship you into a ditch. Honda Sensing is, so far as I can tell, unchanged from when I bought my Clarity in 2018. The Ridgeline couldn’t do Adaptive Cruise at low speeds which was hilariously dangerous

BlueCruise is probably still too expensive, especially considering that the vanilla (non-BC) lane-keeping in the Ford is more like a subtle warning light on the dash.

Ha glad I only took the 90 days on my 24. Still too much @Ford Motor Company. Now while blue cruise was nice on my trips to LA and San Dawg from Sac town. 1.2 still disconnects waaayyyyyyy to much and till they drop it back to 600 for 3 years or 20 bucks a month. I’m good. Thanks but no thanks. Keep trying.

Forum members the only way they’re gonna drop it more is do not re-up. They think people will sign up and I know there will be a bunch that will. They’re like 50 bucks a month or 500 a year OK don’t do it.😂 if you wait they will drop it again
