Mine is a ‘22 Lariat. The brake pedal goes to the floor (actually it reaches the mechanical limit on its travel). I only noticed this today because mostly regen is all I need.

So is it normal for sustained pressure while stopped at a light to cause the pedal to bottom out unless you pump it back up?

Have you seen any brake fluid leaks ??

Check the reservoir !

OP here. Its 11 degrees and dark. I will tomorrow. But I have not seen any sign of a leak. Seems as though it would be easy to spot on hard packed snow where I park, Are these DOT 5 or what, and seems like there shouldn’t be a leak after only 15,000 miles.

I take it that on your trucks the pedal does not collapse. What about a leak in the power brake system (an air leak, maybe)?

IIRC, there is a little settling, but not to the floor.

This does not seem normal to me. My pedal is pleasantly firm and does not require much travel to come to a complete stop (I don't use one pedal drive).

Not normal. Your brakes need to be bled. Why do your brakes need to be bled?

Air doesn't just get into brake hydraulics. Maybe the reservoir is low? Why is it low? A leak? Low from the factory?

Brake fluid is hydroscopic. Water in brake fluid can boil causing air in the lines. It would require heat to boil and a functioning brake system on an EV doesn't generally cause excessive heat.

Your entire brake system needs to be inspected. Check the reservoir and note if the front and/or back reservoir is low. If only one side is low you have identified where the problem is. Check the wear on the brake pads and look for any signs of seepage.

The dealership can do all of this as well.

I called the Dealer. The service manager checked online and said our truck sent a signal on 12/30 that something was wrong with the e-brakes. We agreed that I should not drive it the 30 miles to the shop. We live on a hilltop in very hilly country. Too bad this was not known when the truck was in for unrelated service on 1/7 and again on 1/15.

That's a bit concerning that the truck sent a serious signal about the brakes and:
  1. Your dealer did nothing even though it was in for service twice
  2. You didn't get a yellow or red on the dash that an issue as serious as brakes was flagged.
I'm making a note to myself to check the codes regularly now and make sure my dealer checks every time. On a positive note, my dealer usually tells me any codes they find when I drop it off for service - I won't take that for granted now.

Ford Pass, when I used it to schedule a tow, also shows me that last night though connected to my Ford level 2 charger, did not charge the truck due to some other kind of error. That problem first surfaced last fall and was related to mice eating my soy-based wiring.
