QMerit finally showed up to do my install today. All went smooth, 60A breaker. Connected to wifi / app fine. Set the charge rate to 48A, no issues.

Plug the truck in, starts charging properly. Watched it spool all the way up to 48A.

5 mins later, it's dropped to 15A/3.2kw. Settings are all correct. Flipped breaker, restarted charge session, stopped at 15A.

Called the Ford hotline, immediately got through, rep was great, took notes, then put us on hold while she spoke withe the escalation team. She came back 5 mins later, said it was a KNOWN ISSUE, that there would be an over the air fix 'hopefully in a week.'

This seems insane to me...anyone running into this? This is literally an out of the box installation.

Could you log onto the FCSP with your setup app, then look at the ABOUT option to see what your firmware is at? Possibly related to the factory version, and if not overnight then in a few days you should try a power cycle of the system until it matches then current value shown below.

What is limiting ... the wall charger or the truck?

100% it’s the charger. Charges at proper rates on my temp charger.

Will be back at home in couple hours will pull firmware version off the Ford Charger.

Am I seeing this wrong, looks like it dropped after 85%? It would drop anyways, but I get not this low. But, it charges fine and the bug is after 85%? This doesn't seem like a huge issue.

Did you by chance ever lower the max charge rate through the app, and then raise it back up again also with the app?

Yeah it can’t drop this low for that last 15%. Defeats the purpose.

Yes. No change.
There is a glitch. If you lower the rate in the app it will lower without rebooting. If you raise it back up, you have to reboot the charger station pro to get it to take that setting.

Fight Club rules of the FCSP .....NEVER..... touch that amperage slider it often sticks at an undesired value, it may take a few power cycles to get it back to maximum performance based of the hardware limit of 48 amps.

BTW: Now that we have a new firmware version and a new Fordpass version I might experiment with adjusting it to see if it's working more reliably.

The pace of charging slows after 98% based on my experiences on an 80 amp setup

I also had mine just installed. Worked great the first few days and then it wouldn’t charge any higher that 3.2 as well. I pulled the cover off and unscrewed the main cover and hit the reset button and it has been working just fine ever since.
