Is the only way to change the max charge by having truck plugged in?

What I normally do is charge to 90% every night durking my off peak hourse of 2200-0600. When I know I have a trip planned, I like to charge to 100%. So far the only way I found to do this is through the app when truck is plugged in and I am in range to the charger with my phone. Then I have to change it back to 90%. Is there a better way? The other day I tried to connect to the charger to change back to 90% max while I was in my garage, but I was not able to do so until I physically plugged the charger into truck.

Seems like this is something @Ford Motor Company can fix in the SW. From what I have read, other home chargers are way better at the SW side of things.

I don't have a Charge Station Pro. In FordPass, I simply click the Details button, then scroll down and click Charge to 100%.

This is what i do, you dont have to be in range either as it works just like the lock/unlock button. I often do it this way from a hotel room when my next day plans change. There is also a one time charge setting in the truck but i havent used that so i dont remember how to get to it.

Just click the "charge to 100%" button on the details tab while the truck is plugged in.

Same advice as others stated above.

To clarify, when using the app, you're NOT interacting with the FCSP, you're sending commands to FORD CLOUD, which is passing the instruction to the truck via telematics cell connection, setting your location based routine charging requirements, the truck does not need to be plugged in to make "CHANGES" to an existing scheme.

---BUT---

If you delete the scheme, you must plug in to to start the process of building a brand new scheme, most efficiently done on the SYNC screen.

One other point, the connection to the FP cloud is sketchy at times, app refresh and subsequent handshaking with truck regarding the revised instructions has sometimes been ~LOST~

Thanks all! Sounds like it would be easier to just hit the 'charge to 100' button when the truck is plugged in. Then the charge to 90 will resume the next plug in. My only issue with this is that, lets say I get in at 1700, but I want to the charge to 100 to start at 2200. Is there a way to do this? I am not mistaken, once I hit the charge to 100, it starts charging at that moment.

You are correct, there is no way to do that.

Go to your charge locations and change the setting in there to 100%. You will need to remember to change it back to 90% afterwards.

That is a good idea. Is this in the app or in the truck.
