I just got my truck back from the dealer, who was supposed to take care of this module update, along with the rubber dash mat, new light bar on tailgate, and install of anti-ting washers in the wheels.

I can confirm the other three fixes, but there's no way to tell if they installed any updates for the high voltage module thing. I still see the same version as when I dropped it off.
You won't see anything on the "UPDATES" screen and the CSP / RECALL dashboard in the app might take some time to clear out the alerts.

A true recall will be associated with a mandated action from NHTSA and make selling the vehicle by a dealer illegal. This one doesn’t. Lawyers always smell blood.
True about the Fed requirement, but in California disclosure laws are also used. When I was contacted by Law firms seeking me as a client they pointed out to collect critical language in writting.

I have no awareness or knowledge of California law. Best of luck!

Alright, I have my follow-up. Picked the truck up from the dealer yesterday (33 days at the dealer).

They took care of the battery fault, the dash mat, and the rear lightbar in one visit. They had a heck of a time with the high voltage battery troubleshooting on my end. This looks like each EV service tech is probably up against a stretched-thin technical support team to assist on their end... plus a learning curve all around.

Want to re-state that the service techs at this dealer were great to work with and we were in constant communication... not much else they could do better on their end. The delays seemed to come from Ford not shipping the new modules out until they got the vehicle on the lift, dropped the battery and confirmed what cell(s) needed replacing before Ford would ship the modules out. Also huge shoutout to the EV team # for their assistance in this headache... they arranged the flatbed, complicated travel (from an island), and communicated with the dealership to set up the service. For the headache that this was, everyone I spoke with was super helpful which made it a lot better of an experience.

For those interested, here are the complete service notes for the HV module repair line item, anyway:

VEHICLE ARRIVED AT DEALERSHIP ON FLAT BED, HOOKED TO FDRS, P0B24 STORED IN BECM (HV BATTERY UNSTABLE) REPROGRAMMED ALL MODULES PER RECALL 23B57, SELF TESTED BECM-P0B24 RETURNS, PERFORMED PINPOINT TEST AP, AP1-NO, AP2-YES, AP3-NO, AP4-YES - PERFORMED BATTERY HEALTH REPORT, MODULE 9 CELL 95 HILIGHTED IN BOLD AND APPEARS HIGH, CONTACTED SSSC TO OBTAIN NEW MODULE 9, HV BATTERY MODULE ARRIVE AT DEALERSHIP, PERFORMED BATTERY HEALTH REPORT AGAIN TO OBTAIN TARGET VOLTAGE CODE - FOUND CELL 95 NO LONGER HILIGHTED BUT INSTEAD HAD CELLS 45 AND 87 (MODULES 5 AND 8), RAN BATTERY HEALTH AGAIN-ONLY 87 RETURNED, CLEARED CODE AND ROAD TESTED-OK, CHARGED VEHICLE OVERNIGHT AND RETESTED IN AM-WRENCH LIGHT ON AND P0B24 STORED, BATTERY HEALTH REPORT SHOWED CELLS 95 AND 95 (MODULE 9) BOLD HILIGHT, R&R HV BATTERY AND UPON OPENING MODULE BOX SENT FROM SSSC FOUND MODULE 1 WAS SENT. WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH SSSC TO DETERMINE WHICH MODULE WAS TO BE REPLACED AND WHY IF CELLS 95 AND 95 ARE GOOD THEN WHY WERE THEY HILIGHTED-NO ANSWER. ASKED IF CELL 8 (MODULE 1) WAS THE DEFECTIVE CELL THEN WHY WASN'T THAT CELL HIGHLIGHTED-NO ANSWER, REPLACE MODULE 1 PER SSSC INSTRUCTION, BALANCED NEW MODULE, LEAK TESTED HV BATTERY, REINSTALLED HV BATTERY, CLEARED CODE, PERFORMED BECM COOLING SYSTEM FILLING AND BLEEDING-RETESTED-OK.

Thanks for this. Mine is in service since 12/05/23 Tuesday AM. As of yesterday module they received has a communication glitch apparently between it and Fords very own Midtronics xMB-9640 Module Balancer machine. In a nutshell they are stuck waiting on Fords seemingly slow response. Awaiting engineers to elevate up from Tier 1 status to Tier 2 and higher. It appears to be a major known issue that needs addressed. We need your team to get this resolved ASAP #FordMotorCompany https://x.com/Ford?s=20
Same recalls and repairs as yours while it’s there. This ‘57 update is a cluster already. Kinda bummed already in the gas F150 eco truck loaner getting a measly 10mpg in town driving. I am looking forward to going to the gas station in this thing either. Fingers crossed..!! 🤞

Well, that's fun... 33 days. Not confidence inspiring. Ours has been in for a week now. They are getting us a rental.

Just wanted to add: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...ing-build-week-group-my2023.12470/post-355955 where I have had module #6 replaced and am currently in the middle of having Module #2 replaced.

I am curious, which build week group the truck with bad modules belong to, Am curious is the battery module batch is related. As I recall, mine was being build around the time that they had that week long delivery stoppage related to them catching a battery issue...

Unless there have been changes to the hardware revision indicating a fix was put in place, this is bound to happen again if they are just replacing with the same exact part...

Is there any indication as to why these modules arw failing ?

Also has anyone been able to get extended warranty or anything out of this ?

EVERY truck is currently on initial warranty by time in service we're now 20 months since first delivery, there are probably only a handful of high mileage [>36,000 miles] trucks by now, for the battery it's [8yr & 100,000 miles]

37k here and one module replacement so far. Slower charging after replacement. Dealer thinks ford turned the rate down via software. So far they cannot get an engineer to come out and check it. Love the truck but not real thrilled now.

As of now, how many days since this repair? It's been said that as many as 22 days are needed for module to module rebalancing to complete after a swap.

It’s been over two months now. It’s better than then I first got it back but still not like it was.

Can you give an example of what you are seeing with the charge rate compared to before the module was replaced?

At first it was half speed. Dealer checked it out and said it was ok but was waiting to hear from higher ups. They think ford is turning the rate down. It did speed up. Now however I’m lucky to average 14-15kw on the charge station pro on 80amps.

Assuming you're viewing the rate of charge the Fordpass app, my FCSP dialed in for 80 amps, usually show no more than 16KW, but when I look at my Emporia Vue2 energy monitor for the FCSP 100 amp breaker it's showing high 17.x KW sometimes as high at 18KW, never have I seen 19.2KW the theoretical maximum.

When you see it running under 14/15 KW, are you attempting to charge to 100% SOC, or is this happening constantly at lower SOC values?
