Great map! Thanks,
This would have saved me some research when we bought our Lightning. We bought in Idaho, got better service, more discounts and better configuration than we could find in CA, OR, WA or NV.

Nice, I expected OK to be white, but we're actually not the lightest shade of green :)

Might be a good tool to use when searching best deals on new Lightnings sitting unsold in certain states.

Don’t forget to call out Mississippi too, they suck even more….
Yeah I was going to say something about MS. It's a charging desert there, I had drive through Alabama instead of MS on a road trip this summer. However, it does look like the state is moving forward with using the federal money for station buildouts.

But I really think that the problems with EV adoption there are economic. It's a really poor state. People just can't afford them. A little bit of political resistance too.

They literally drive them until the wheels fall off down there. I'd be curious to see what the average age of registered vehicles is per state, and how that map would compare.

Was that were all the “clunkers” went from the Great Recession Recovery Act?

Kinda works, rich states got new cars and MS got new to them cars

You could almost see the map of the colder weather states that also for other reason didn't buy.

Easy to look up. For the averages you may have to do the math.
You may not like what you find. Most states less than 10% registered are EV.
My state.
Less than 9,000 EV/hybrid registered.
Over 65,000 antiques registered. (Over 30 years old)
Not all are garage queens. Every summer all summer my barber drives a 1972 Ford F100, no body damage, no rust and still on original wheels. Antique plates.

No. Cash for Clunkers had specific requirements. The vehicle had to be disabled by the dealership. There was a specific procedure. Oil is drained, silica sand and water put into engine while oil is draining, then it is revved up until it seizes. It was then transported to a junk yard and crushed.

So no, no Cash for Clunkers vehicles were sold to people anywhere, including the vehicle we traded in.

VT , not bad for roughly 600k people. Guess that's why Tesla opened a brick and mortar place here this year.

The graph is a little misleading or I should say hard to read or incomplete. Without knowing how many hundreds of thousands of people in each state it hard to get a real picture. I guess for general information it's ok.
