I didn't say that.. I said free from *THAT* nonsense.

I'm a realist... NY does what NY does.

That aside, both my vehicle registration costs AND auto insurance are cheaper in NY than in Virginia.

Oh and no ridiculous Personal Property Tax.......
Yeah, but what about the tax structure
Agreed. However, you can get BluesClues on the ICE F-150 even with the smaller screen so it is possible they can offer it on all trims.
My granddaughter love Blues Clues ?

I am almost certain the the eye monitor camera for blue cruise is mounted behind the 15.5" screen, so you can't get it on the XLT with the smaller screen.
It would make no sense to mount in the middle of the cab. In MME the eye sensors are on the steering column. Why would they move them in Lightning?

I'm leaning more and more towards the XLT+ ER.

FWIW here's the tentative pricing from survey. This should give us some idea. I am sure Ford has their accounting team running the numbers to see what they swing to get the Lariat ER under $74k.

DISCLAIMER" This is not official pricing from Ford, that has not been released yet. This was from an interest survey earlier this year. Very much subject to change. Stay tuned.

If Ford followed this....a Lariat (with ER battery)would be $67,474+$7000= 74.474 with NO options.(Just above cutoff)

Pricing
ProXLTXLT +LariatLariat +
Starting Price
MSRP$ 39,974$ 52,974$ 56,774$ 67,474$ 79,474
BATTERY/CHARGING
Standard-Range BatterySSSS-
Extended-Range Battery$ 10,000$ 7,000OOS
To get the Lariat + with the Extended Range Battery for under the $74k, Ford should remove the 80-amp charge station (sell it separately as a dealer accessory) from being included that would allow dropping the $7k option price down into the $5-6k range that gets you under the limit. This would allow for more highly optioned vehicles to be sold using the credit that I am sure Ford makes more money on than an XLT +.

I could get behind that, but I could also see it backfiring from a PR perspective. If it isn't bundled in, adoption will be much lower and lots of folks will try to make sure with the included mobile EVSE which just won't cut it for the ER battery without a lot of planning. That could cause people to sour on the whole thing and drive down long term adoption of EV trucks.

The max tow package is definitely something not to skip, since it adds cooling to the battery for the higher tow capacity.
I have heard this several times here but have not seen it anywhere else. Are we sure it adds more battery cooling or is that something that is being assumed since max tow on ICE add additional cooling?

One issue I see with it being sold with the ER battery is when the vehicle gets sold as used a few years down the road the buyer is going to expect it to come with the truck. The 80 amp charge station is going to have to be hardwired into a home and cannot be just unplugged like a 50 amp charger can be when a vehicle is sold. Installation of an 80 amp charger also would be pushing the capacity of a 200 amp typical home service if the vehicle is charging the same time as AC is cooling the house, the clothes dryer is running and dinner is baking in the oven. I would not be surprised in many cases the installation of the 80 amp charger will necessitate an additional 100 amp service be added to a house that has its own breaker panel to feed the charger on its own.

Ford needs to include BlueClues in the XLT, we already know you dont need the big screen

They are located above the infotainment screen and on the A pillar in F150s with the 12" screen. The 15.5" models have them located just left of the screen and on the A pillar.

Assuming the Survey pricing remains true... (big *IF*), as EVBill sort of eluded, if Ford were to make the 80-amp Charge Station Pro a removable (delete) option (and available as an accessory purchase) and spun this idea to the customers to save some PR "face" as a means to allow folks to take advantage of the tax credit while aiming to stay under the $74k credit cap (assuming the legislature passes with that provision)? That way the charger cost and total combined price of the truck plus charger doesn't necessarily change, but it could lower the MSRP bottom line for credit purposes? It might work?

Ya, married filing jointly needs to have around $140k income and no other deductions to be able to get the full credit.
I believe that it is written to allow you to get the rebate at point of sale so your personal liability won't matter

Agreed, especially if the charger and charger installation tax credit still exists. Of course the take rate might go way down as many might settle for what the electric utility will fund with their own narrow-eligibility rebates.

Almost sure its going to be refundable so liability won't matter.

Expecting people to have $12.5k liability would be ridiculous. Def a move in the wrong direction when one of the biggest criticisms of the current credit is it caters to the rich. So agree its probably refundable

The new credit would be refundable. There is also a point-of-sale structure in subsection B (TRANSFER OF CREDIT) but it looks like it won't be effective until 1/1/2023 the way I'm reading it.
