Here's a screenshot of the menu that I am seeing with the below settings:

APIM 7D0-01-01 xxx9 xxxx xx--
DSP 783-01-01 xx1x xx--

Tapping either of them does nothing at all. No beeps or button interactions.

Any thoughts?

What does FORScan show as the part/strategy/configuration numbers for your DSP (see post 47)? You can use FORScan Windows or the free FORScan viewer app on your phone to see these numbers.

DSP - (Audio) Digital Signal Processing Module
Part number: ML3T-18B849-BK
Calibration level: ML3T-18B849-BK
Strategy : ML3T-14C589-BK

I have no idea what this means.

Window sticker says I should have "Forward Sensing System" i.e. proximity sensors on front bumper. My last discussion regarding this problem was moved to another thread. I've broken out the old windows lap top, loaded up FORScan, bought a dongle and am ready to ruin my new truck. Can you tell me if I'm approaching this correctly.

First the wiring diagram shows all proximity sensors front, and rear all go to the IPMA module, so I looked over livinitup's spreadsheet dated this year and found the bottom tab for IPMA 2024. I started down looking for anything with the text "Cnfg_PA" thinking this would be all parameters associated with Parking Assist. It was basically all in 706-02-01. Still pretty opaque, but I compared it to my As-Built Data to see if I could make some sense of it. I came away pretty confused. I guess I'm looking for a methodical approach to discover how to recognize the sensors and enable the features and I feel more like I'm about to become a monkey banging on a typewriter. I feel pretty confident I could perform the actions others have discovered, but I think this may be virgin territory (adding front sensors). I did read the thread of the fellow who added radar, etc, so I'll go re read that. Can someone point me in the right direction.

One thing I’ve noticed is that all Lightnings have 4 sensors on the front and rear bumpers but those with Bluecruise and parking assist have two additional sensors on the sides of the bumpers. Park assist may require those.

I want to go ahead and do the matrix headlights but I already have the BC updates that allow in lane positioning and assisted lane change. I made the FORscan changes to give me the menu options. Does this interfere with the matrix upgrade? I read somewhere it does.

Also. Once I do the matrix changes do you have to do a headlight calibration or something?

Thank you!

I have upgraded BlueCruise and Glare Free headlights.

No calibration required. Just do what the first post says and make sure you save the as built configuration before making any changes. This is the change that people tend to screw up since there are so many changes.

I think you'll need to make changes to the APIM (Sync). I'm not sure what else. It's probably doable but you better have A LOT of patience.

One thing to remember is that Ford sells 20 times more ICE trucks than Lightnings. The 14gen forum has tons more posts and members than we do. It’s where we got most of our Forscan mods, lighted cupholders, etc.

So for things where we share parts and technology I would point you there to see what they’re doing, if anything.

Good luck!

All except 2024 XLTs. Sensors were deleted on the front. They would probably be there if I'd ordered Active Park Assist (it parks for you) rather than Park Assist which just beeps at you when you get too close to something. I miss the beeps from my 2014 truck when I try not to hit the front wall of my garage.

Are you saying that the ’24 XLT doesn’t have the 4 on the front and back or is it just missing the side ones?

Unfortunately, Active Park Assist was removed entirely in 2024 for all trims.

I can see my glare free matrix headlights working to block around oncoming traffic but they don’t seem like brights in the Green “A” auto lamps setting, do I need to pull the stalk until the blue brights indicator is on? Alternatively is the matrix feature fairly lackluster? I’m just not sure if it’s working as intended, I think I liked the original auto high beam better.
I think you may not have everything set right in forscan. Glare free is absolutely amazing! To me it’s like having your brights on all the time. I can see them working around other cars while still lighting everything up on the shoulder etc. everyone that activates it usually comes back and says how amazing they are. I’d go back and check all your settings to make sure all is set correctly.
