Can someone share the changes needed for BC 1.4 lane change etc? I find so many posts talking about it but nobody ever gives the instructions.

It's not public and also requires certain module updates. See this post.

I understand the CSP for the front sensors has to be done etc, which i have. But why is no-one willing to just post the changes publicly like every other FORScan change available?

Because it won't work if you don't have the requisite update and there are a couple subtleties you need to understand before doing it. It's just an extra level of gate keeping to keep people from messing up their trucks. I don't necessarily agree that the information needs to be private but I didn't figure out how to do it so I'll defer to those who did. Just send a DM.

Not to mention, if someone gets into an accident and blames the FORScan changes on it, then who is at fault?

At this point that the OTA is officially released, I don't see the need for the secret sauce anymore. However, until the gurus post it publicly and it appears in the common tab of the FORScan spreadsheet........

Seems about like saying if my truck catches fire because I used the changes in this thread to up the heated steering wheel temps above factory that would somehow mean you all are liable… thats pretty ridiculous and didnt stop anyone from posting that. It’s an online forum. Thats the whole point.

Also, if someone has gotten to the point of buying a cable, downloading a tool and connecting to their vehicle successfully, then surely they are intelligent enough to comprehend that certain module updates are prerequisite. That could just be stated.

Not trying to be difficult but it’s a weak argument to post about these changes and then refuse to actually disclose them. Might as well just keep to yourself.

Again: The day the guys that figured out how to enable it want it made public, it will be on the spreadsheet's common tab. I have literally helped hundreds of people across several forums enable the new features. I did not ask the be the gatekeeper of the secret sauce......it just kinda happened. It would make my life easier if I didn't have to give the changes out on a case-by-case basis. Whether you think my argument is weak or strong is irrelevant. I was told not to post them publicly, and I will adhere to that because I have no interest in burning the connections I have made.

100% respect that.

My original post was geared towards those you are referring to, who found the changes i guess (if they even are on here), who are choosing to frown upon making things public knowledge for no logical reason.

I will just take my win of finally having WAL working and a hotter steering wheel and never return here.

Yes, they are on here. FYI: The fact you have WAL working is also due to them. When they first discovered how to enable BC 1.2 and they made the changes public, Ford almost had a heart attack and reached out to them and asked them to take it down. I am sure there are layers as to why it isn't public yet. So, if that's the direction you want to take, then do whatever makes your heart content. You can't please everyone, I guess.

I find that the forums and members provide a lot of things that have helped me improve and/or tailor this vehicle to my liking...if in one case "we" have to ask via DM for specific instructions vs. following along a public post, it is still simple to get what you want.

What's the big deal?

@rugedraw, you have shared more here than I guess I was aware of - and the weight of that carry. (Even) more thanks for your patience and time helping us.
