How do you like the extended running boards? I had them on my Silverado and liked them for reaching into the bed, but not many people have them in pics I've seen on this site. I have them in my build, but haven't purchased yet.
I haven’t even used them yet, lol. I usually send the 10 year old up there to get stuff. So I guess you could say they are a cheaper option then having a kid.

I just installed Michelin Defender LTX M/S Tires (E1 Rated) tires. Slight increase in size, 275 70 R18.
Filled them to 50 PSI (80 is their max), and the truck drives great. Love the way that they look, fills out the wheel well a bit more. I don't want to do a lift or a level, so this is as big as I'll go.

Stability has increased quite a bit, gone is much of the floaty, boat like feel. These things have much improved traction...no slip through all the heavy rain. Drove with them from Austin to Houston and then back again over the weekend.

Here's a shot of what they were before the old Michelin tires:

Have you towed with it yet? Interested in doing the same since the floaty feel feels more floaty when towing

Anyone here have 285/70/18 on stock wheels with no level? All I can find here is people with 295/70/18 with a level or 275/70/18 with/without a level kit but no 285/70/18 size.

I considered 285/70/18 but I think that could be pushing it in the front wheel well.

Damn, sucks because although 275/70/18 does look nice on a stock stance, I want just a tad bit more. Stepping up to a 285/70/18 would give it about .5 inch more sidewall which to me seems perfect!

Will 285/65R20's BFG KO2's fit on the stock 20" sport rim with a 2" level. I don't want to trim.

If anyone has this setup can you post a pic please.

someone ran 285/65/20 KO's without a level on stock sport wheels and didn't rub, these will definitely fit. If I can find a pic I will post it.

I just had 285/65/20’s and a 2.5 inch level installed and it’s got plenty of room. I don’t think the .5 will make a difference.

I am also running 285/65-20's. I'm on a 2" level and I have no rubs at all. The Geolander's are slightly taller and slightly wider than the KO2, so you should have zero issues.

Not the best pics but did a rough country 2in puck today and 295/70/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT on stock chrome 18s. Happy with how it turned out.

Wow. 295’s and no rubbing? Lifted front and rear? How do you think it would be without the lift?

So I noticed a few people here running 285/65/20 with no level and no rub whatsoever on stock wheel. I punched this into the calculator and it shows it as a 34.6 size, so I am assuming it is safe for us 18 inch wheel guys to run a 285/70/18 tire stock suspension since it's a 33.7 size. Curious why no one has ran this size yet, I might have to be the first to try it out!
