There is an interesting behaviour that I actually like.

My garage is a very tight fit, both depth & width, I always fold the mirrors prior to entering the garage, they stay folded while inside, regardless of my manipulations of the door locks, they don't fold open, which is really helpful so that I don't need to flip them back in prior to backing out the truck.

Once I'm out of the garage, just tap the drivers door mirror button and they're ready to go.

Now that I'm out and about, get to a destination, using either the FOB or outside door buttons to initiate the lock or unlock makes the mirrors fold in or out as needed.

@Ford Motor Company DO NOT change this functionality!!!!

After driving my truck, I noticed that the exterior mirrors no longer fold when I lock the truck. It does not matter if I use the remote or the bottom two buttons on the door. I have tried opening and closing each door, the frunk and the tailgate with no luck. I also checked the settings on the main screen and toggled that of and on with no luck.

Any further advice aside from disconnecting the 12 volt battery?
There is a setting under "Vehicle" for the mirrors that might need reset.
Mine changed itself at least once after a software update.

Mine was set correctly and that was not the issue.

Mine stopped closing on lock after an update but playing with the this "Vehicle" setting seemed to fix it.

Another interesting feature that I’ve come to appreciate is that the auto fold on the mirrors doesn’t happen if you lock the doors with an exposed FOB or phone inside the vehicle. The doors will lock but the mirrors don’t fold. This has saved me multiple times from walking away without my phone.

I presume you have your phone set for PAAK.

At least once I had the truck change to the Guest profile on its own. That changes custom settings. I've also had the issue the mirrors not autofolding before, I don't remember what I did but they work now. It may have been the setting turned itself off or a random profile change. Or I just needed to manually move them once. Don't remember.

Off topic, and not to brag, but I'm bragging, I had an F150 when I had my garage built. I made sure it was deep enough for it and I put wider doors on (9' for the single and 18' for the double). I also made the whole thing as wide as practical. I'm probably the only person in town who parks three cars in a three car garage.

It really bothers me that garages aren't big enough for an F150, the best selling vehicle in the country. My parents live in a new development and all the garages are too small, 20'x20'. The neighborhood looks like a parking lot. My parents have two small cars so they fit, and they added a third bay for their "stuff."

I did the same thing you did and with the same results. Additionally, I made my doors 8 feet tall and the garage 24 feet deep.

I've had this happen when a passenger didn't shut their door all the way. Try opening and closing all doors properly.

Our house is a 1946 Cape, my wife's father built it after coming home from WW2, he built the garage in 1965 to accommodate two modestly sized automobiles, no way for us to expand it without a complete teardown.
