Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (January 2025 batch)

Ford is resuming shipments today. I have an incoming package from Dearborn, MI in my FedEx Delivery Manager from HDS Shipping Point.

Ordered March 02. Have been told mine would ship ‘this month’ three (?) months in a Fg row. I’ve done twenty! 2,500! Mile trips since April ‘23. One trip from L.A. to Boston, MA, to bring a boat back to L.A.
Being told I’ll get my adapter is just acid on a wound.

Yep. I ordered the morning first day and several months later received the defective adapter. I received the email instructing me to not use it and a replacement would be sent. STILL WAITING FIR REPLACEMENT.

The free adapters with purchase ended a while back, and Ford isn't selling them from the parts department yet. You will have to go third party for now. A2Z, TeslaTap, or Lectron are the leading options.

I just pushes my buttons that Ford made the announcement that they had access to the Tesla network in Feb. and that everyone would be getting a free adapter to be able to charge at a Supercharger. I've had my Lightning for over 7 months now and if I hadn't bought an A2Z adapter, I would still be SOL. Ford sells the Mach E and Lightning with one of the selling points being that you can charge at Supercharger. But that's only if you have the NACS adapter that they promised...and haven't delivered for most of their EV drivers. Is it going to take a year to get adapter? That's a year of not being able to use a feature that they are pushing but can't deliver

just annoying as hell I ordered the adapter march 5 24. They keep moving the month every month. It started off June then July……..then December and I’m sure they will move it again in a couple of days. I would have just bought one if they said it would be this long. Really pisses me off that ford would string us along like this. I love the truck. Took delivery sept 11 22 This delay is unconscionable cannot really be that hard to produce these things ???

I called and asked about the second one, they have no idea when that’ll be sent out.

It will probably roll over to January 2025 tomorrow or January 2. I hate to be the guy that complains about getting something nice for free, but these delays are unreasonable; have had three road trips that I would have liked to have the adapter for. I am 45000 so I am likely looking at end of January early February.

Samesies. March 2 ordered. No word from Frod. 65,000 miles since April ‘23. Regular, long, and horrible trips relying on EA. Next one starts the 15th. I pull a trailer and get 1 m/kWh. So I try to get 80 or so miles between 30 minute charges. It takes 28 hours to travel what always took 14 hours.
Yes it’s free. But driving a Lightning is hugely expensive. I value my time.

Update. It still has not arrived. Only ~42k more to go. . So did Ford when they said it was a mistake when they accidently sent an estimated ship date of January 2025? NO! Because at this rate it will be around August. It's at a pace of about ~8k per month vs. the 8k per week they stated they were up to in manufacturing.

Yet there was some talks about a Lectron version being shipped instead. I have yet to see people post those, unless it looks the same at the tesla version.
