LOL, we get it, you bought one, don't need daily updates :). Just know you can't use it at a Tesla Supercharger on January 12 between 3-5pm.
Or Jan 13th, or 14th.....
But do let us know your experience trying it out.(y)

The Typhoon adapter was supposed to start shipping on the 5th. Did any brave soul on this site pre-order one, and did it ship?

I ordered on 11/6/23 and mine just shipped today.

If I didn't live in a rural area I wouldn't jump on it so quick. One of the cities I frequent is a 2 hour drive, with no DCFC. They do have two locations with Tesla SC. I trust A2Z to refund my money if it doesn't work. How long will it take Ford to get them in our hands once they start selling them?!

Watch Tesla flip the switch on the 12th and all the v3+ light up the map with a disclaimer saying *adapter required

I assume the NACS to CCS adapter (about 6 inches long) is what Ford will be offering. Will keep in frunk with other emergency stuff.

Decided to sign up and do a trial run.
Low charge rate. 250% of local kWH rate. Taking up 2 spaces.
I guess when the only option, okay. Otherwise, no thanks.
You're at 78%. What did you expect for a charge rate?

Run it down to 20% and try again.

I’ll try that sometime. I don’t remember EA being that low under 80% SOC but I may be wrong.
The two times I've used Magic Docks I was in the 120 kW range steady. Hopefully it was because you were at such a high state of charge.

I disagree. You're a paying customer and just so happen to have a car that uses the opposite space of other cars.

Also I have never seen more than a single tesla in those 16 chargers any time I have gone by there.

HA. I saw two while I was there😀. Funny things was, they were identical blue sedans. One driver came over to ask about the truck and didn’t know I could charge there.
As for the two spaces, you’re correct that that set of chargers doesn’t get used much. But I seen people waiting on the chargers at Sheetz in Breezewood. I would definitely cheese a bunch of tesla drivers off if I charged there (as if I could wedge the truck in).
Edit: Did you use the Tesla chargers in Harmarville? If so, what charge rate did you get?

I want to wait and get the Ford certified adapter. Or should it matter?
YES! It absolutely matters, and the guys hitting the social media pages shilling these to everyone, saying they "are approved", are going to be in a heap o'trouble, when someone spends and they don't work, or worse, start a fire. I've seen it numerous times already. They are trying to get the jump on folks who don't know any better. JUST WAIT TO GET THE ACTUAL APPROVED LICENSED UNITS FOR PETE SAKE.
