Has this happened to anyone else?

The woman who I haven't heard form in weeks about my HIS not working, must have an automated email going out to me daily requesting I give Ford permission to upload a token to my truck. As the document reads, it will monitor how i drive my truck. So I've reached out to her several times in the past month or so and she's never responded back. (this is after she guaranteed me she was the person to help fix my HIS and will be in touch weekly.)

The top of the docusign says its the "Connected Vehicle Use Study"

I don't really see how this will help me.

@Ford Motor Company This doesn’t like something you would want your customer to be experiencing . (Does that sound familiar?)

While I can't vouch for the agent, the document and token are very real. And the data is not just when you are driving but will also be when you connect to the HIS and will detail the exact step it fails on.

I did receive a docusign from an individual at Ford when they were testing some updates or changes to the Home Intergration Kit. They form was called "US Participant Agreement 30-day_EN (Updated Token Authorization Form).pdf"

They called it the Advanced Analytics Program.

I signed the form then they sent me 2 packets.

The first explained hiw to access the Bezel Diagnostic menu to enable Advanced Analytics.

The second explained a series of different test to run. Things like having the truck plugged in when power goes out by manually shutting off my breaker, truck not plugged in when power goes out, truck plugged in then unplugged then plugged back in, etc.

After I completed all the test I sent my notes and findings back to the Ford POC I was working with. They never told me to turn the Advanced Analytics token off but when I found it was preventing me from doing some FDRS updates due to DTC codes I went back in and turned it off.

can confirm. i was a participant last year regarding carplay no audio. Except the part about the power stuff. They wanted me to send the logs whenever carplay had no audio.

I had an experience similar to @Jasin. Back at the end of September 2024, I was asked to participate in some group testing of the Home Integration System. I had to docusign a document agreeing that Ford bore no responsibility for what happened after the installation of monitoring tokens (the document also said the tokens should have no effect whatsoever on my vehicle). It seemed like just a CYA legal document to absolve Ford of any legal entanglement by an owner claiming that the tokens later caused an accident, ruined his vehicle, etc. As Jasin notes, you have to activate the tokens yourself. You can turn them off at any time after the testing, and they (in my case) were supposed to remove themselves after 30 days.

I had a much more direct e-mail interaction with the agent monitoring the HIS system testing before and during the test period, but after the test was over, I couldn't get the time of day from him.

My test was also late September, I signed 25 September. I also agree that once the "test" was over getting ahold of anyone was like pulling teeth.

Why would you expect it to be to YOUR benefit? :)

this Could be from my HIS. But why would they need to monitor my driving?

You guys that did it for your HIS also, did you see any benefit from it?

No direct benefit was promised me. I assumed that the monitoring was to determine whether the supposed update to truck modules to fix the HIS system interfered with the performance of the truck in any other way. The tokens were supposed to monitor what was going on with the ECG, TCU, and APIM modules.

Since I was told that nothing about the testing and agreement was subject to non-disclosure, here's how the first page of my Docusign document read. I figured Ford could already determine a lot about my vehicle use, and I have been using Waze and CarPlay. I don't have any concerns about being monitored as long as someone doesn't use information about when I'm not home to rob my house, etc. If you use a credit card, your every purchase is monitored, and the information is resold to "business partners" of the credit card company. So you're already living in a glass house.

My conclusion, as discussed in other threads, is that Ford has not yet fixed the Home Integration System. Using the UNLOCK button press, charge head removal and reinsertion, I can get my system to transfer backup power 100% of the time, but manual intervention is required more than half the time. The HIS equipment (most likely the fault of the truck and FCSP) cannot be relied on to initiate a backup power transfer automatically.

While it seems a bit weird that you haven't been informed ahead of the email, it isn't bogus.

I had to go through the same thing when my GPS went haywire (well, technically I was fortunate enough that the mothership was involved as things went very smoothly, no complaints there).
