Getting annoyed by all these modem updates

I woke up to another modem bug fix release this morning. Such a disappointment. It's getting really old hoping for actual new features and instead just seeing all these modem updates. I thought my Rivian was bad with software but they're at least getting features. My wife's Tesla has had major new features in half the time I've had the Lightning. Here we're getting modem updates...

I'm tired of hearing More enhancements are on the way

Ya it really sucks Ford is fixing issues how dare they do such a thing.

It was much better when you could not use the app to start and unlock the truck without disconnecting the battery every few days. They really should devote more time to adding new doodads.

The Mach-E forum has a rant thread about how Ford keeps adding useless crap (games, for example) and not fixing anything.

Was there a recent modem update? The last update I got was back on March 30th and things had been working fine since, but within the past week, my modem has stopped communicating with Fordpass again on my 2023 truck, after it had been working great since the modem fix update (forget the version number) was pushed out a few months ago.

With 4.2.4 that I received on 4/27, a very short release note says:

More enhancements are on the way.

We've made some minor updates to keep everything running smoothly, including improvements to the FordPass® Connect modem. There's nothing you need to do.

I went through the Early Access program with the OTA BlueCruise updates on my 2021. Trust me when I say that all these "maintenance" updates are for a reason and will lead to better things.

I do wish they would stop adding games that the majority of people don't want. That time would be better spent fixing other glitches.

My connectivity with FordPass has stopped. Spent an hour on phone with Ford BEV folks. The fix is a “Field service action-Gateway Module Programming” that my dealer must do. Known issue Apparently. Anybody had this done Yet?

Probably some mid level software manager that thinks you've got to sit for 3 hours charging to make it home from work got these things pushed through.
