No word from the dealership today. I’ll stay optimistic and hope that they spent the day applying all of the updates for me.
Didn't hear anything on Wednesday either. And they were closed yesterday for the 4th of July. So maybe I'll get some good news today.

Agreed, ridiculous! I've never had an update and I'm at 355 days since purchasing the truck. I would have to work very hard to meet the requirements above. One of these days I'll just take it to the dealer so they can force it.
Finally! Five days shy of my 1 year anniversary, I finally received an OTA update! Hopefully this breaks the logjam and I start getting many of the others mentioned on this site.

Great. Hope they keep rolling in for you.

BTW, the Recurring Update Schedule time is best set to a time when you likely won't be driving the truck. A few updates don't allow the truck to be driven when they are installed.
Most folks set it around 1AM.

That said, the 2:15 PM time you have might be right for you.

Thanks. I've tried several different time windows. Figured I'd try a time that others are probably not using, hoping the server bandwidth is more available. In my case, being retired and doing most of my trips in the AM, I'm usually not driving in the afternoon anyway.

Files are downloaded as soon as the OTA trigger is accepted by the vehicle. Then the files just sit there until either the auto-updates schedule installs it or the owner manually initiates the install. A 1am install time is not recommended because it allows the vehicle to sit and the 12v battery drains. Best time to initiate the install is after the vehicle is taken for a drive and the 12v battery is topped off.

That's the new gateway update that opens the door for the new APIM (Sync) update to Sync 1122.

That's the one that is NOT available for '22 models yet....sadly.

Been a minute since there was a check in on this thread. Curious if there is anyone else left on 4.x.x.x?

I never thought of that, mine is set to 1am so I think I'll change it to earlier.

I don't know if it's mentioned in this thread, but don't set it to exactly midnight. Something about a software bug that won't let the install take place.

As for my updates, I bought my truck in May. It's a 22 that was never sold. It got an update the day before or day of I bought it (before the purchase), and I've received several since then. Sometimes it's been weeks between them, and sometimes in quick succession. I think I got three in two days (I manually installed one). Most recent was two weeks ago. I don't know if I'm caught up but got the ones I know of and care about.

I've heard of the midnight bug, but never tested it myself. I actually could right now since Ford is trying to ram a PCM update down my throat for the 3rd time now, but I'd have to risk it going through and it would wipe my tune.

The OTA process has been VERY good to you. You OTA experience is not on par with what most owners deal with. They've sent you every important OTA there is. The few you are missing are minor or only available with FDRS.

Me, just a few days shy of 10 months since my last update. I told my service advisor and he said that it was odd I've gone so long without an OTA. No clue if they'll find/do anything when I take it in for service in Sept (earliest they could get me in and have a loaner for me to get to work). Figured it can't hurt to ask. I'm scrapping funds to the side for a mongoose cable, likely treat myself to one for my birthday this fall. Have almost enough reward points on my Amazon card to get it for free.

It's listed on the software update screen. Mine is "Ford Power update 4.2.2.2"
I can send you a photo if that helps. I've been on that version for well over a year and when this thread went quiet I started to think I might be last in line. Turns out I'm (still) in good company.

I feel very fortunate. It seems that once I started getting updates they just keep coming. But since they started not long after I bought the truck, I don't know what that had to do with it. My truck was also a demo.

I really wish we knew Ford's algorithm for sending updates.
