New Charging Profile?

I've hit as high as 184 before in my Pro ER at an EA 350 station. 170s is more common for me though.

I agree this is nothing new. I’ve seen similar numbers on my 23. There are so many variables involved I would chalk this up to a big nothing.

Fwiw, the pack has a voltage of around 354v at 50%.

With 500a charging that's only 177kw.

If my estimate is correct 25% soc would be around 325v, or 162kw.

Folks here have been claiming to get into the 190kw range, at 25% soc that's a charge rate of around 575A. Even at 50% SOC and 354v 190kw charging is 536A.

Pretty sure we have had over 500a charging for a LONG time.

Also note that, as shown in that screenshot a few posts up, the coolant heater can draw 8 or 9 kW that isn't going to the battery. So between charging losses and that extra power for heating, it's not surprising that the delivered power numbers can be higher than theoretical max that the battery cells can accept.

2023 lariat er at a tesla supercharger today. 29-70% in about 25 min. Only got about 7 min of the boost with a peak of 182. Was in the 50s today so don't think it was the standard tesla derate
