Drivers face limited options? What did the big bad orange man take away today that they had when they bought their cars? Or last month? Or yesterday?
It's weird how there might have been limited options before too...

Or that people drive through Iowa who are not from there.

Aware. So back to my question, what promise was broken?
The ones in the bill maybe...

Oh. The ones in the bill. Very informative and specific. :rolleyes:

If there's anyone whoa actually has a meaningful answer to the question, I'm very interested. There bills, programs, guidance documents, and review processes. I'm not aware of anything bring promised, and not aware of anything that existed for Iowa EV drivers before that no longer exists today.

There is no way to have a meaningful discussion if you continue to play these games.

Yes, the items in the bill were the "promises" that were discussed. The bill was crafted by your REPRESENTATIVE in the government and agreed upon by all layers of government.

And again, it isn't only about "no longer exists", which was very clearly articulated and you continue to ignore. They HAVE limited chargers, that means they HAVE limited options.

Until YOU can have a meaningful discussion one will never happen. Don't try and blame everyone else here when YOU refuse to provide anything "informative and specific".

Sometimes folks won't interact with you because you have proven not worth interacting with. You can't walk in, crap in the middle of the floor, and then demand you are treated like an adult.

If you want a quality discussion then you too have to provide one. You seem to demand more from others than you yourself are willing to give

Asking for the specific promises made that were not kept is crapping in the middle of the floor? So that's a no I guess?

I'm seeing that there were plans in development for various stations using federal grant money to the states. And I'm seeing is that the administration halted the program for all plans to be re-evaluated. Not seeing any broken promises anywhere here?

And again, you have provided nothing, said "nuh uh", and then said it is everyone else's responsability to prove it to you. And that's before pointing out that others already have, you just refused to accept those answers.

You have to ask yourself, is nobody talking to you because it's been proven it's you are not worth talking to?

Why do THEY hate EVs so much? There are environmental costs to produce any vehicle but EVs make since in so many areas.
The cult leader forms all opinions. If he told them EVs were great you would see a bunch of lifted Lightnings Rivians and Teslas with balls hanging from the hitch.

Sorry I'm hoping to have this conversation with someone who can do so without using ad-hominem projection. If there's anyone who can do that (using more than two words like "the bill"), I'm interested in a mature discussion.
It's impossible to have a rational conversation with a die hard trumper. You will be greeted warmly in the rolling coal forums. Please head there with your alternative facts.

However, following the law is something that has become passe to the people now in charge it seems.
I agree with everything you wrote except this. To say that the past administration followed the law is untrue. Both parties do it.

I don't recall the past administration not complying with the laws and regulations relating to EV's, which include:

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) passed in 2022;
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed in 2021; and
The End Chinese Dominance of Electric Vehicles in America Act of 2024;

as well as:

The Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging Grant Program Act of 2023 and
The Clean Vehicle Credit (IRC 25e).

Those are the ones at issue here pertinent for us and future EV owners that seem to be ignored by the current administration.

Any other laws or rules that were held to be exceeded, like the attempt to forgive student loans, are irrelevant to this thread.

But I agree that the previous administration was held to have exceeded the authority given to the President in the US Constitution, by cases brought before the SCOTUS.

Your false equivalency is hilarious considering the dictator-on-day-one level of direct defiance of the Constitution and intentional lawbreaking happening.

These are the first two paragraphs of the link provided in the first post of this thread. This entire thread is about broken promises in Iowa.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Twenty-eight electric charging stations that were due along Iowa interstates are now halted, limiting local electric vehicle drivers.

President Trump pulled the plug on the US DOT Federal Highway Administration federal grant program which helps states expand electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. This grant had previously given Iowa $16.2 million to build 28 electric stations.

Please take your partisan glasses off and look at the last 20+ years of government. Every administration picks and chooses which laws they enforce.
