But the worst part is that I can't correct the problem now. When I go back to my setting (both in Fordpass and on the truck itself), it won't let me enter anything under ""target charge" or "preferred charge time" because my charge locations disappeared and I don't have the option of adding the location again. It has a message that I can add a location "after your first AC charge session," but I just finished charging at home, so I don't know what the problem is.

Any ideas on how to fix this glitch, or am I doing something wrong?
I applied everything available via FDRS about a month ago and had this problem immediately thereafter. It took me weeks to figure out what to do.

In the end it turned out using the menus in the truck, instead of in FordPass, let me add charging locations again. Unfortunately it is now hypersensitive to location and so I have to have my home charger added *twice* or it won't recognize it's at that location if I park in the space at the other end of the charge cord's reach. Also, the preferred charging time/level settings in the truck are basically unusable now because they've used some circle-shaped widget that is super laggy and doesn't reliably recognize where you've touched it or that your finger is moving. So I had to FIRST use the truck menus to add the charging locations and NEXT use FordPass to set the charge schedule and target

It is astonishing how bad Ford's UI software quality control is. I don't know how the kind of bugs that they routinely have in the app or the in-car UI software make it through test. They have a huge software organization and gigantic budgets, yet they seem unable to test properly to avoid regressions in functionality that is important to users and plainly exposed. Someone in the relevant team's management there should be out of a job - should have long ago and still should now.

Hopefully it’s not the same issue that the 2024 had. Took months before ford figure out the issue and it was only fixable via FDRS, sad it’s still not an OTA yet

What solved it? I can't add a location in the truck or the app.

@all Make sure to use the voice feedback app on sync to report your negative experiences with this update!
To everybody having problems with this update, this is exactly what you should be doing. This and filling out the EA surveys and telling them there is a problem. That is why we are in EA. To be the guinea pigs. Ford needs to know there is a problem before they begin rolling this update out to the masses.

What solved it? I can't add a location in the truck or the app.
It's likely the GUI interface define hot-zones for virtual buttons are not mapped accurately, leaving one stuck in a Chinese finger trap.

Build the location alone, nevermind trying to customize the time frames or SOC values, save the location, let it sync to the cloud then edit the location in Fordpass.

I wonder if one could build the entire scheme in Forpass, this was difficult if not impossible in the old 4.x series, maybe they improved that part in version 5 ??

While plugged in and actively charging at location go to Target Charge

Ford F-150 Lightning OTA Software Update 10.3.0 - Powertrain, Battery, Parking Brake 1737938867348-qe

+ to add the location, if it doesn't let you, stop the charging to see if it allows you to build the location and SOC value.

Ford F-150 Lightning OTA Software Update 10.3.0 - Powertrain, Battery, Parking Brake 1737938889883-v

Then once created back up to the energy / charge section then go into Preferred Charge Times confirm it's set to anytime for weekdays and weekends, if nothing is listed start with + to build the first set of daily & weekend rules.

I wasn't able to add locations in the app but adding them in the truck did work for me.
I gave it a try while actively charging both on the app and in the truck. No luck. Also tried with and without a one-time target charge set in the truck. I did confirm the truck sees a location.

I guess for now I'll set my one-time level in the truck (my Chargepoint Home handles the Time of Use schedule).

I've always had trouble changing location settings in the truck or in the app while charging. I added the locations back while unplugged, after charging at them previously; they showed on the truck display but not in the app. Then, after exiting and restarting the app, I was able to set the schedule and target charge I should have been able to set those in the truck but I had the problem with that insane circular widget for setting the time that's mentioned above.

The locations now show in both truck and app and it seems to be respecting the schedule and target.

Good feedback, so folks should make their first stop on the Sync screen, Charge app, create a location then save it.

This doesn't work. I can't add a location on the Sync screen or FordPass. I can see that I've charged in FordPass but neither the truck nor the app recognizes charging sessions for the purposes of setting a charge limit or preferred charge times. Maybe it will just fix itself like @tls but it hasn't yet.

I actually no longer see new charge sessions in Charging History since the update. FordPass knows where the truck is but the history ends after the update completed.

Seems that this update might need to be stopped from deployment.
Then a Fix to broke vehicles
Then a revision of the original package before sending to the rest of us.

Has it been confirmed this is an EA push? Guess I'm happy to be stuck on 10.1.1 since 10/22.

Guessing yes, though, interestingly, I have what may or may not be the same issue (see above - I was able to add locations in Sync though not FordPass while others can't add them at all) after manually applying all available module updates (except BCM) to my truck about a month ago via FDRS. I am not in EA.
