We have ghetto dog mode, use the MS Paint built in to say 'dog mode, AC on, temp set to 75'
Yeah, unless your charging session stops (by reaching limit, or a charger error, or someone disconnects the charger) which turns off the AC compressor. You get no notice and you don’t know the interior temp.

Good to know. I’ve never left it on while charging, but glad I know this

Put recirculation on the main screen and when I turn it on, LEAVE IT ON. 40 mile trip yesterday constantly turning recirculation back on after the truck turns it off every 2 minutes. It does not matter what mode, and there was no chance of fogging. There are TWO buttons for defrost, you can do whatever when I push those, until then stop messing with what I set. I think a PM2.5 meter to read all the garbage the HVAC is letting in is due so the lawyers can hash out which lawsuit is worse, fogging or lung damage.

I don't want to see attention paid to anything else other than the BC 1.4 update and getting faster DC charging rolled out to everyone. These are big quality of life updates and should be the priority for @Ford Motor Company

My brother just bought his 2024 Flash and has these software updates. It's frustrating that I have had my truck for more than two years and do not.

Thank you in advance to Ford to get these turned around.
Those updates are out for 22-24, it’s just when you get the ota update. I didn’t want to wait so I went the fdrs route. I have a 24’ lariat and when I picked up my truck in feb my updates were way behind.

I agree with these, but I would put battery preconditioning and pro power with truck off as the first two. Actually, I would make the preconditioning manually available through console. My battery has never preconditioned. I have tried navigating to chargers via native navigation, Google Maps on Android, and Apple Maps on iPhone.

I didn’t know about remote cabin shutting off with frunk opening. Who would have guessed that to happen.
Yeah...I kept switching things around of importance. I really want them all asap. The only reason I put "stay in sports mode" first is because I am reminded of it every time I start my truck but you're right, in terms of functionality importance, preconditioning on demand is more important.

I learned about opening the frunk shutting things down this winter. Every time I go grocery shopping, I turn on cabin heat in the app while in the cashier isle. Then when I go near my truck I see that its on, defroster going... Looks great. Open the frunk to put groceries in and everything just shuts down. Happens every time. I am guessing it's a bug but maybe there is a reason for it.

Legacy behaviour, ie. they don't want you to get your fingers caught in the fan or fan belts when you open the hood {FRUNK}

Not to be too presumptuous / overbearing , but can I have Android Auto that doesn't continually / randomly disconnect , even when connected w/ USB ? FFS !!
Discounting the 7 serious warranty issues I've had in 19+ months , that in & of itself makes me a " one & done " w/ Ford. How long's Android Auto been around , 10+ yrs ?

Something My Tesla and Rivian have, when activating Blinker for lane change, besides blinking the mirror indicator, have a toggle option for audio alert as well. They do it for blindspot detection when backing up it would be nice to have that for lane changes as well

People love to blame the infotainment, but the issuers are invariably on the phone side of the equation.

That may be true , but in my particular case it's not. The same phone / AA works flawlessly in a 2022 Pacifica. Even wirelessly , imagine that. And it was also confirmed to me by a Ford CS rep that its a known issue on Fords end.
I always get a kick out of the blind loyalty , here. Quite amusing.

Okay here's a trick that I have discovered with recirculation to keep it on... go into the screen and pick max account (even if it cold outside) be sure recirculate is on, choose your driver focused or not... let the screen time out... now tap your temp up to the desired temperature . Seems to keep recirc on no matter what . Yes it is essentially in Manual node but I've turned off come back, changed temp up and down even had heat kick in and turned it off and recirc will stay on... one key piece is letting the screen time itself out and revert back to whatever the previous screen was... eventually you will have to do it again but not very often and you can tell by the difference in the fan noise or when you get the lovely smell of an ICE vehicle that's in front of you...

My wishlist:

Make charging stations tappable on the screen, and at any zoom level.
If I turn on recirculation, leave it on. I'm a grown up, if it fogs up, I'll turn it off.
If I turn on sport mode, leave it on sport mode. Don't reset it on every startup.
Stop giving me warnings and nags and dings for every little thing.
Make the software half as responsive as my 6 year old Tesla.
Make an energy screen, give us data. See Tesla.
You know what, just give up. Stop making the software. Make it all open source and let the community install what they want. It will be better than what Ford has in 2 weeks time.

If you can't tell, I think Ford's software is atrocious. They really should be ashamed.

You could be on the other side of the aisle. Tesla is basically a software company that happened to manufacturer cars. Sure, their OS is great and snappy and can OTA update anything at a moments notice. The first Teslas had terrible ride quality, fit and finish issues to this day. With time much has improved. On Ford's side, they manufacture the best selling pickup truck. You could argue the software sucks and the OTA updates are shit compared to Tesla. But the fit and finish, ride quality and handling characteristics are beyond Tesla's capabilities. Im not giving Ford an excuse to not continue improving. But these trucks are hardware limited. Perhaps you should have stuck with the CT?

My phone stays connected perfectly in my Tesla. My Lightning, disconnects, screen goes blank, sometimes I have to do the silly reset game. A couple of months ago the dealer told me, at the end of this quarter a big update is coming to fix that, yeah Right.
