Well the BMS sensor is a part replacement. Takes 5 mins. And yes it will help with updates because it gives a more accurate state of charge reading to the BCM...which means the SOC will not be reading "low", which in turn tends to keep the logic from applying updates (like when it gets below 80% or so).

Were you a motor warrant?
Motor Warrant? Don't know what that is . .
The dealer just txt'ed me re: Parking sensors & BMS

I have my dealership ordering a replacement tailgate panel, which was broken when they did the rear light bar replacement. I mentioned I had the Front Parking Aid Sensor CSP 24B56, and would like to have it done with the tailgate panel replacement. The Service Advisor warned, "Like Mama said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I am sitting this CSP out unless there is a failure.
Just got the truck back today and so far it appears everything is repaired! Now, back to enjoying the truck!!

I had the apple car play issue. They finally fixed it, but they spent a lot of time and money on it. Replaced the head unit if I remember correctly. Initially they asked me if i actually want it to work.

My local Ford Mobile Service guy called yesterday and said it looked like I needed CSP 24B56 on my truck and would I like mobile service to come out and complete that service. He said they would do the FHCM and PSM at the same time. So I said yes and the service guy showed up today around noon local time. I asked him if he needed power for a battery maintainer and he said no. I was a bit surprised but he plugged in his laptop and proceeded to do the FHCM and PSM and each of those only took a few minutes. The IPMA update took close to two hours. After he was done, I could not tell any change at all. No change to the 360 camera or sensors at all that I can tell.

After he left...I ran a couple errands and opened and closed the frunk several times with no issue. Once home...I thought I would hook up my battery Ciore battery maintainer in case he had run down the LVB. I used the "jump connections" under the passenger side of the frunk. For some reason, the battery maintainer I have will not charge the LVB from that location. I have not tried going right to the battery. But from the jump posts...the maintainer just says OUP. It flashes 100 percent briefly and then gives the OUP code. So not sure what is up with that.

Giving up on that...I replaced the passenger side trim piece and found the frunk would not close electrically, Not the frunk switch, or the cabin switch or the key fob. I could close the funk and latch it manually and all the buttons would cause the funk to open but no go on closing. It would beep normally when opening but would not make a sound when any button was pressed to close the frunk...dead silence.

So hoping my battery tender or the recent FHCM programming had not screwed something up I came here to the forum seeking a resolution or clue to my problem and Eureka...someone had mentioned the pinch sensors that are on both sides of the frunk. Rechecking the passenger side sensor, I found I had not ensured the plastic trim piece was UNDER the pinch sensor. Once I relocated the plastic under the piece sensor...all normal functioning of the frunk returned.

So not sure where to post this but thought the CSP thread made as much sense as any as I wanted to report both the CSP success without a battery maintainer and my panic moment(s) with the frunk not closing. Thanks to this community...I was able to diagnose and resolve my issue without having to involve the dealer!

I've receive several updates while the CSP-24B56 has been open, I'll continue waiting until Spring/Summer.
It would be super if you could update the thread when you feel comfortable with getting CSP 24B56. Still too many people having trouble to my liking. Thanks for considering this request.

I'm just about ready to make an appointment with Tasca Seekonk, I can ride the Harley with the warmer weather if this takes more than a day's time.

I just had this done along with CSP23B50 and the Wiper Motor recall. Haven't noticed anything different for me, but all my Forscan settings and charge location settings were wiped out. I had to reconfigure basically everything. Is this normal?

I had CSP 24B56 completed a few weeks ago w/o any problems . . (as far as I can tell, so far)

It turned out the parking sensor update trashed my LVB - which the dealer ended up replacing at no charge.

But one of the symptoms was if the frunk were left open for any length of time, I'd have to close it manually. FordPass couldn't do it remotely, but I don't recall, just like you, ever having a problem opening it.

I'd get 12.57 V to 12.64 V with a multimeter across the frunk jump points (80% to 90% charged) but only a few % LVB SOC capacity by Car Scanner or OBDLink. The update apparently trashed the LVB capacity, and the truck was always going into Battery Saver mode and trying to charge up its LVB.

If the truck sat and I woke it up, it would start trying to charge the LVB, and the voltage across the jump points would jump. If I'd been trying to charge up the LVB with my Noco Genius2 tender, the monitoring lights would quickly fill up and turn green. If your situation is similar to mine, the truck trying to charge the LVB might be why you're getting an OUP message from your (Deltran?) tender. OTH, you don't seem to be getting all the Entering Battery Saver Mode alerts I was getting on my SYNC screen most times I went to shut my truck down

Clore replaced my Solar 2320 under warranty for the OUP overvoltage problem. Apparently even though I had only used it a couple times...all on the truck BTW...something must have gone haywire in the 2320 and it had nothing to do with the truck as far as I know. My local dealer did the TSB update for me (took about 24 hours...dropped it off early on a Monday and picked it up the next afternoon) and I think I now have all the latest updates. I have an AM radio button but I cannot select it or tune a station...not a big deal for me...and I have not tried Blue Cruise. Things I wanted most of all were the Apple Car Play integration and the update from the Charge Assist app in the truck updated to the Public Charging app which can be used while in motion..the former could not.
