I’ll testify to that. OTAs have broke my truck vice update. It started as a platinum but working on becoming a Lariat.I'm all about that. If they gave us the option to sign up for betas I would.

1.7.1 shut down my SiriusXM, it no longer works.Got my 2.1 update and now my sync is stuck on 1 FM channel. I can go to Sirius or pandora and advance the stations with the steering wheel controls. On my regular presets it won’t move off the one station. Hope I don’t have to wait until another update or physical service call to correct.
Same here and playing my Android XM to get around it.I have a 21 F150 XLT. Xm radio stopped working with 1.7 update. Today it updated to 2.1.0 and still XM radio not working it just says loading and it stuck playing Christmas music. I can only take Mariah Carey a couple more times. C’mon Ford please fix this!
Same issue here. 1.7.1 = Broke SiriusXMSame here and playing my Android XM to get around it.
Seriously? Folks paid big money for advertised features to work. Ford OWES us the vehicles that we paid for. Just because YOU prioritize Blue Cruise because you paid extra for it does not diminish the fact that Ford owes us fully functioning vehicles. All other features are icing on the cake that Ford doesn’t actually owe anyone.
Agreed 100%Seriously? Folks paid big money for advertised features to work. Ford OWES us the vehicles that we paid for. Just because YOU prioritize Blue Cruise because you paid extra for it does not diminish the fact that Ford owes us fully functioning vehicles.
That's like saying that you paid extra for someone to put solar panels on your roof when you bought a house...but they didn't work. So the builder responds to your complaint about the solar, but ignores the fact that your oven doesn't heat up past 200 degrees, and that the power flickers in one room when it's windy, etc.... "minor" problems being experienced by you, and the hundreds of folks who are having the same problems in homes by that builder. (In this case over 660,000 2021 F-150 owners!)
Yes, the majority of issues that we are seeing are "First World Problems" ... but, still, we paid for products that should function as they were advertised. And if they don't, we expect Ford to respond and fix the issues in a professional and timely manner. Which they have not done. (IMHO)
(I'm climbing down off my soapbox now.)
CricketsAgreed 100%
Hey @Ford Motor Company, can we get some official direction on the common issues plaguing thousands of us? Bluecruise not being available to early adopters as promised, CarPlay issues that are plaguing us all? Something official would go a long way to improving the relationship.
The direction indicators don’t work with Waze, only with Apple Maps.I have the 2.1.0 update and the directions still don’t pop up on the dash when using CarPlay and Waze. Anyone have that issue? 21 302a.
Absolutely 100% not. If a feature comes out after you buy your vehicle, your are not entitled to it. You may be given that feature, you may be asked to pay for it if you see value, but no one owes you a free update unless something was wrong with the car to begin with. You are missing the point that you don’t pay for an ongoing service or software contract (it will be this way for cars in the near future). No one should be upset they don’t get the latest update unless they are paying for the update… they are provided as a courtesy.Seriously? Folks paid big money for advertised features to work. Sorry, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard. I bought a truck with the expectation that the features on the truck work as advertised. If they don't, then they should be fixed... whether it be hardware or software. The idea that someone should have to pay for a software maintenance contract to fix BUGS in the code is part of what is giving the software industry such a bad reputation. That's like saying that you should have to pay to have every recall fixed or TSB applied to your brand new $70K vehicle.Absolutely 100% not. If a feature comes out after you buy your vehicle, your are not entitled to it. Things are functioning fine on their cars, and people are asking for new “un-advertised” features to be honest. (Besides blue cruise)
This is from the Ford website. Nowhere does it talk about us having to pay for features. We paid for a vehicle that can be updated with new features. This is just like your phone.Absolutely 100% not.
