My truck has been doing the same thing off and on for 2 months. Thankfully most of the time it’s not beeping at me. Hate that noise! But I haven’t been able to narrow it down to me doing any certain thing.
Plus one to this. I thought I was going crazy, but glad to hear it's not just me.

Well........you are not the only one. My 3.6.5 update had issues loading. You will get messages reminding you of the failure and what you can do to prep your vehicle for an OTA update. I called the OTA updates dept and they informed me that my 12V battery could not handle the update because of the power consumption it required for the update. Ford recommended to drive the vehicle for more than 30 min or charge the battery. I have a battery charger, which I connected for couple hours and drove the vehicle around for more than 45 min.
Re initiated the download and it worked.
Do you have a battery charger?
Harbor Freight has them for around $30.
Northern Tools also. Otherwise drive around the town and try again.
Good luck.
You should have asked them why you would need to drive an electric truck to charge the battery. Is not like we need an engine to run to spin an alternator. The truck should be smart enough to charge the 12V battery on its own.

Just wanted to add here because there is some discussion about it that I did not get the 3.5.5 update . I went straight to 4.1.1 from 3.5.4 —- I also did not receive the update that changed 1 pedal driving , though I forget what number that one was .

The truck will charge the 12V on it's own, but I believe (mostly from observations and other discussions, not direct knowledge) that it does so based on threshold values. And those values are different for powered on (higher) vs. powered off (lower). Driving isn't really needed. If the 12V is low, but not low enough to trigger a recharge, then powering the truck on for a while should initiate the recharge cycle.

I also had a question about this advice, why the need to drive?

Program an automatic update to run at a specific hour, T minus 35 minutes, bootup the Lightning, set parking brake, turn off the lights, HVAC, infotainment center to conserve load on the 12V system, let the truck "RUN" for 30 minutes, leave the truck alone, lock doors, the truck will turn off automatically in 30 minutes, then 5 minutes later the auto update should kick off, hopefully with a well charged 12v battery.

I remember Jim Farly doing Press for the Lightning before Launch and mentioned how the Truck would keep getting better every month with OTA updates.

4 months of Ownership... Crickets... If anything, they made the truck slightly worse by lessening the regen strength in what I think was the first update.

Rivian is running circles around Ford w/ their updates.

How much time does it take to add some basic data:

mil/kwh and battery percentage on the dash . .
Show the actual charge speed in the car . . .

I don't drive in calm mode because I particularly like it, I drive it in just to see a battery %.

You shouldn't even have to do that. It should be seamless and automatic. If the update requires a certain LVB voltage and it is below it, charge it and then run the update. Period.

That is the whole reason I drive in Calm Mode too.

Apparently there is a trickle charge that keeps the 12V battery at the optimum level.
The specifics of it, I don't know.
Now....here is the other thing. I own a Mach E 2021. It is a Job 1. When Ford started releasing the Blue cruise OTA updates, they advised everyone who was interested and had the option incorporated into their vehicles, to do couple things.
Take the vehicle to the dealer or do it themselves. Either way, it was imperative that the vehicle be in a battery (12V) charger to keep the battery charging while the updates were downloaded. The downloads almost took 8 hours.
Some dealers did not follow that advice and drained the customers 12V batteries. Same happened with those individuals who tried it on their own. I called Ford tech support for OTA updates and they mentioned the 12V battery level. I had 12.5V on mine.
Not adequate. I also mentioned that it will be functional/prudent/advisable to incorporate an update were there is a display of the 12V battery in the main instrument display. Maybe we see one soon.
Sooner rather than later.

I agree wholeheartedly, but with regard to the kludge of a workaround, I can save some treadlife leaving it parked.

Did you ever get your truck to update?

Yes, 22-PU1009-MIL-DTE posted overnight early Sunday morning 05:05 am after I disconnected/connected the 12v LVB Saturday afternoon.
