I did eventually get my battery monitoring sensor replaced, it was actually installed the day after the CSP expired, but the order for the part was done when I had FHCM and IPMA updates done a few weeks earlier, so it was still covered by Ford.I've also had quite some difficulty in getting 6.8 to install.
I checked the 12V battery SoC in the body control module with Forscan and multiple times I had started at over 80%, at least once with over 90%, and still no go.
Checked the info from the mmota details API Endpoint that gets loaded when visiting the vehicle dashboard page on the Ford website and every time it's been reporting the error as InhibitRequiredHvNotQualifiedLvLow.
I haven't gotten the replaced battery monitoring sensor but maybe it's time to schedule that.
Just yesterday, I finally got 6.8.0 pushed and installed in one try (did check the 12V battery SoC in the Body Control Module via Forscan, was ~90%), and it is definitely nice to see the numeric state of charge. I am still not fully used to the different displays for cruise control speed and the detected speed limit though.
Given what has been seen previously, I'm looking forward to a few more updates coming through the next few weeks.
Funnily enough just this week I went ahead and bought the Mongoose Plus to start looking at using FDRS to manually update modules, so in a way it feels like it was "scared into it"
