Similar situation. Mine has been at the dealership untouched for 45 days now. My original appointment was July 5. It’s been one excuse after another. Was told they only have one EV tech and 10 days ago was told they have all the parts and were just waiting on a lift. Now I’m hearing from another dealership that the one who has my truck isn’t EV certified ( even though they told me they were when I scheduled the appointment) and that they often send their EVs over to them for service. I’m beginning to believe that’s why it’s taking so long. I could move my truck over but would lose the loaner and have to get in the back of the line.

I did start the buyback process on Monday and at this point I think I just want to get my money back and find (or order) something new.
I was in a similar situation. My truck failed to start and showed the Powertrain and High Voltage errors early July. It was towed to the dealership. It took nearly four weeks to get the failed module replaced. Then a week later another error popped up along with restricted to 3kW charging speed for some unknown reason.

I knew I was coming up on September which would be 12 months of ownership. To be proactive, I started a Buy Back claim and late last week that was approved. Like you, I just want my money back. I have zero faith the truck will be reliable long term and that the dealerships will prioritize fixing these. I'm looking forward to see what the offer will be. Best of luck.

My 2022 Platinum with 3064 miles has been parked at the same spot at the dealership since I delivered it for my scheduled service 3 weeks ago. The BEV team made an appointment 5 weeks in advance, and the battery module was delivered in 3 weeks. The dealer (a large one) has one EV Tech. The Lightning ahead of mine for battery module replacement had some sort of "calibration" issue with the battery, and the dealer did not have a piece of equipment they needed. Hopefully, mine goes into the shop next week. I do have an XLT ICE loaner, which I requested during my first discussion with the BEV team.

2023 F150 Lightning XLT , 2004 miles ; Same problem reported by many. 7:30am 70 degrees outside temp. Drove out into a busy intersection for a left turn and the truck died with the Powertrain Malfunction error (limped at about 5mph), very dangerous situation. The service (yellow wrench ) light stayed on . I was able to pull over and turn everything off and on again, truck worked but service light stayed on. Drove the truck straight to the dealer and left it. Strange that I was the only vehicle there for service and was ignored for 30minutes while all the service personnel seemed to enjoy hanging out with each other. I got out and and asked if I was supposed to go to the service window and let someone know I was here and they said, no just wait in the car someone will be out. Eventually a service rep came out and signed me in, said that Electric vehicles take about 3 days to evaluate because of the workload. This is one of my company's fleet vehicles. Not impressed so far.

2023 Lightning XLT, optionless.
Update: Dealer confirmed that battery modules (2?) are bad, they don't offer a guess as to when they will be available. They have another Lightning that has been in their shop "a month" waiting for modules as well. I did start a case with the Ford BEV Team (thanks to comments on this site) but though they are very polite there doesn't seem to be much they can offer. One small positive so far is that the dealer would only authorize a Ford rental car at up to $65/day. They have no loaners left to give out. That gets you precisely nothing where I'm at, at least nothing that I can take camping or haul my kayaks or tools around with. However, the BEV team expanded on this, saying that If I found my own vehicle to rent that it wouldn't have to be a Ford, but that they would reimburse me for it up to the $65/day limit. I can't find anything remotely comparable, even a "standard" SUV costs much more than that, let alone a truck. Really not good, and if other's experiences are an indication of what I can expect, not good into October.

My entire battery pack was replaced. Took 4 weeks for the battery to come in, 1-2 days for install.

Has anyone done a poll asking who has had this issue and what was the build month/year of their Lightning? I can't find one.
See my signature for a spreadsheet listing i am trying to keep up with!

Too bad some of these influencers or the Ford team themselves haven’t personally experienced these issues. Maybe a bigger spotlight would be put on it

So my 2023 Lariat is in the body shop (stupid deer) and this alert showed up in my Ford Pass app yesterday morning. These threads have me worried, but at least I can say with complete certainty it wasn’t anything I did.

It has been at the dealer for evaluation for one week and they have not looked at it yet, not one single phone call. I have left messages with the service department. Seems like they don't have qualified people to assess the problem

No update, I have not heard back from the dealer.
Another week and not a peep from the dealer or BEV team. My home charger is collecting lots of dust and spider webs.

It's possible that in order to safely work on it, they needed to do a high voltage disconnect, which might trigger the same error.

Wow. This just happened yesterday to my 2023 Lighting. I only have 4K miles and purchased in April. I'm a bit concerned about this issue. I have a appt. next Friday here in Arizona and they said to leave it for a few days. I'll update you guys if I hear any good or bad news.
