I had charged like normal to 90% for daily use before I got the error message. But the truck drove like normal outside of the alert. I also didn't try to charge after receiving the message, I just took it right over to the dealership.
I ask because I'm in a very similar situation - ~3100 miles, 4/24 build date. I took my truck back after diagnosis though, as I'd rather have a mostly useful vehicle (I'm limited to 57% power and around 65% battery charge) than a less nice loaner.

I promised updates as I move thru my repair process for my powertrain malfunction...coming up on 3 weeks at the dealer and they just replaced the auxiliary heater BUT that didn't fix the problem. They noted though, that when they move the associated wires, the electrical resistance fluctuates so, after getting approval from Ford hotline, they are now going to replace the wiring to the aux heater. Will keep you posted...

New here. Found this forum due to the error.
Got the service wrench on Friday. Truck wouldn’t charge past 60% but didn’t notice any loss of power for the very short period of time i drove it with the light on. 2024 lariat. 4500 miles.

Service wrench came up and said “service truck soon”. I figured it was a tire rotation as it didn’t sound like there was an real issue with the truck. When charging, it stopped charging around 60% with an error and I looked at the app i saw the error. Feel like something this severe should be better worded than "Service truck soon" on the dash.

Dealership has my truck and they were somewhat vague on what they were replacing. i pressed for info but they just said they were "emergency shipping" parts as the truck is under warranty. They provided me with a loaner.

Third time already in the shop. Purchased this back in November. Had alignment issues that the dealership twice to correct.

Sounds like a bad battery module...hard to believe this is still a problem on '24s. At least it seems the dealership is treating you well, minus the vague feedback. Hopefully shipping is fast, that is usually the biggest hold time.

Ford has a specific contact number for the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) issues. I would recommend you contact them, they may be able to provide you better feedback, and it will be good to document with them of your issue. (800) 334-4375

Please keep us posted how it goes.

Might want to check if you are also part of the Safety Recall 25S18 HV Battery Electrode Misalignment by going to your Ford account or look at your FordPass service section. I would think not likely, hopefully more for earlier model years.

**Fix update**

My PM/RP was just a faulty gear shift module. Part number NL3Z-7210-AJ

The full turn around was really just a few hours since they only looked at it this morning and had the part in inventory.

So she's back at home now. Thanks all.

Two dealerships that are close to me (Atlanta area) are Angela Kruse ford Billy Howell. I bought through Angela Kruse, but frankly was not impressed with my service experience there. I am going to try Bill Howell. Any dealer recommendations (or horor stories) in Atlanta area are much appreciated.

This prompted my buy the Ford ESP from Grainger..

I also received the dreaded error message yesterday, and from what I have seen, there have been other owners with the same issue. I have 3,048 miles on my Lariat extended range.

I got the same fault message yesterday and no I can't charge either. Dealership closed on sundays so now i have to wait for monday to call especially since the app won't let me schedule an appointment.

I got the same fault last night too and dealership not open today. I am dreading the call on Monday i don't have the patients for this being dragged out forever. Im gonna try to be nice tomorrow but Im not sure how long that will last before my PTSD flairs up. I really hope this is not going to be a big issue. I am not familiar with BEV an opening a case should I do the same

This is what caused my debacle as well. I wonder if this needs to be a recall seeing how many people reported this issue in the last week!!!

It was a bad battery module. Dealer gave me a loaner . Fixed in less than 5 days.
