I have a 2023 Ford Lightning ER.
Today I was going to get lunch and a service soon light came on. I have 19000 miles and know I have to service at 20000. While I was going through the parking garage I noticed the truck was accelerating even with my foot off the accelerator. I tried to accelerate but it would not accelerate. I stopped and was backing up and the accelerator started to work. Then a sudden burst of power happened and I slammed the back corner of my truck into a concrete column. I am pissed see attached. I think Ford should pay for my damages

If you believe there is a safety-related problem, you should report it via the NHTSA website.

With all due respect....at that point, you stop driving and call a tow truck to take it to the dealer.

IMO, you're lucky that pole was there.

Talk to your insurance, unlikely its a Ford problem.

Sounds like you got caught by the backup sensor braking.

Requiring a service isn't going to cause that. The interval is 10k miles isn't it?

I had called my dealer to take in for 10000 mile service which was just tire rotation ,left a message they never called me back tried for 2 weeks to get in touch they kept sending me to a voicemail. They acted like they didn't want to do it so I took it to tire shop and they rotated tires then I got the recall in the mail took it in on a recall for gear shift at 18000 and now this happened.

Wow, that's a lot of damage. That really sucks. I assume they can pull the truck computer and see what happened.

It is common for forward acceleration to happen if you have not shut off Blue Cruise and accidentally hit the resume button while turning the wheel (it happens easily since the button sticks out more than the others). There are multiple posts on that. Turn off Bluecruise completely when in parking lots.

If it indeed lunged in reverse, while the parking sensors were not beeping at you, then I agee with @Whammy Bar, shut it off and call Ford Road Side Assistance to pick it up and deliver it directly to the dealer. That is a safety issue and the truck should not be driven.
