Mine is a 22, no EAP, I checked yesterday and no updates, checked today and it said the 6.14 update was not completed. I put on a 12v battery charger, checked a little while later and it says it's downloading. Someone said a few comments above that it took 5 hours to download. I'm leaving the charger on and trying to be patient. I checked it a little bit ago and it still says downloading. I'm trying to make myself leave the truck alone, I don't want to turn it on to check and it somehow screws up the update.

Haven't paid attention to CarPlay apps in a long time, but the number of available apps seems to have expanded somewhat. I'm on iOS 18.0 Beta 6, and after the 6.14.0 update, I see Target, MS Teams, Car Scanner, Skype, VLC Player, etc., which I either ignored or never noticed if they were there before.

Finally got the update this afternoon.

I just noticed it while checking on my end of week charging routine, after returning from lunch run, I parked her in the garage and plugged in at about 1:39 according to the Emporia log, but charging stopped at 1:44. I had not looked at FP until a few minutes ago, noticing that the truck was waiting to start charging at 1pm, weird.

Low & behold it's 6.14.0, and the START charging button is showing, I clicked it but didn't see a reaction, so I force-stopped the Androis FP app, restarted the app and then clicked START charging.

Charging commenced and the limiter was showing 100% SOC, so I dialed it back to my preferred 90%

Count me in ‘22 ER Lariat. Finished installing about an hour ago. All seems well with the truck. Not really fawned of the new top line icons, but no big deal.

Just happy to see we are still moving forward with updates. (Last was March, 2024). Maybe someday while I’m still young enough to drive (man that sounds weird) I’ll finally get the BC Jim promised a year ago.

I received my 6.14.0 update last night after several hours of downloading with a well charged 12 volt battery. Today I dug into CarPlay and found 21 apps showing now, versus only a few the last time I checked.

Available apps now include CAR SCANNER and MY RADAR! I now have IN VEHICLE 12 VOLT SOC and live WEATHER RADAR!

I have only tried out these apps while parked. I don't yet know if they work while driving. I have attached photos showing the app icons in CarPlay and their displays on the touch-screen.

Well I got this update today around lunch. 2022 Xlt Er. Not in Eap.

Received yesterday sometime... not sure when but noticed when I started my truck the display was fillining only about a 1/4 of the screen and had a strange font. It flickered a few times then went back to normal.

I received this update around noon today. ‘22 Lariat ER, not EAP.

I figured I got this because I am in Dearborn for Old Car Festival, surrounded by FMC facilities. But after reading this thread, I guess not. Just glad to have it. Thanks FMC!

Charging finished as predicted at 90%.

Went out to look at the new 15.5" interface, verified no lost radio presets, all vehicle & driver assistance settings remain as I like them.

I won't be driving the Lightning until Monday morning, next two days are on the Harley, charity & memorial runs to make, Lill lady will be shuttling herself in her car, she refuses to drive a truck. LOL

i’m confused are these Apple CarPlay apps or are they apps built into your truck? If they’re on CarPlay, did you manually download them to your phone?
