Rear bumper is dumb for a truck (See Cybertruck).
Those high kw DC charging cables are liquid cooled. That extension cable would have to be very short and/or provide its own cooling.

There are very few liquid cooled chargers and we're years away from getting them for the general Tesla population much less other makes. There is no plan to retrofit or replace the thousands of superchargers to liquid cooled. Could Tesla retrofit longer cables, yes but I doubt it. They'd have to be making serious $ from charging. That was never part of the original Tesla vision.

Not sure about the CT charging location. Where did you see it?

My point was how to get my Lightning access to the huge supercharger station locations currently available.

Leaf charge ports are in the center of the front but most have corner locations.

Electrify America cables are liquid cooled. It's necessary for the high amperage. EVGo, also liquid cooled. Everybody's 350kw capable chargers are liquid cooled. So, there's quite a bit more out there than "very few".

Regarding Cybertruck charging location, you should watch the video.

There are parts of the country where CCS is more readily available than Tesla Superchargers. Accessing both is the real win. When our F150s get the capability in Spring, I will only use a Tesla Supercharger if no other option is available.

Tesla v3 Supercharger cables are liquid cooled. AFAIK, these are the only current Superchargers that will be available to Lightning owners.

By the numbers in the announcement, that would not appear to be the case. Farley and Musk said that we would be able to access the whole thing and gave numbers reflecting the whole network.

Didn't know aboutt this. I have seen Lightnings at Tesla chargers with magic docks but was not aware if they are V3's.

From what I understand greatly simplified, current v2s cannot communicate with non-Tesla vehicles through the charging cable, they use wireless communication

Looks like it's integrated into its rear left wheel arch outside of the bed. Not sure what you were getting at about that location. I think it was the post before that said something about good luck charging with something in the bed. I didn't think the charger was anywhere in the bed.

I'm sure their outstanding availability and low down time was a factor in Farley asking for access to Telsa's chargers. Glad you're happy with EA.

Fortunately I don't charge away from home. I have enough range for my daily needs.

Or have very large gauge conductors so as not to heat up.

Yeah I don't understand why they put it in such a bad place for all of their current superchargers. Just put the stupid plug in the front somewhere.

looks plugged in to me?
It's a tight fit, you have to back right up against it, and the tailgate has to be up.

So, in a CyberTruck, you can't use high speed charging if you're doing something useful, like this...

...and of course, a Cybertrunk owner could only dream about doing this...

Oh, that's the F150 Lightning Pro Power 30A 240V outlet being used to power a portable 10kw CCS DC charger to rapidly charge a Harley Davidson electric motorcycle.

The CT isn't even great for a trip to Whole Foods. Are you going to let your groceries slide around in the bed? You're not going to fit the bags in that tiny frunk. Going to Whole Foods is why the CT exists, right?

Everything about the Cybertruck is a half-baked mess. Tesla is putting a vehicle in production that's going to be hassle to charge at their own superchargers -- no parking sensors, no 360 view. The whole experience just looks like it sucks. Elon Musk is charlatan.

the truck hasn’t been released yet. I smell fear in your post. We can do a proper comparison when we know the specs.
