I believe people are confusing things.

The low battery warning shown by @TaxmanHog has nothing to do with the vehicle being routed to a charger instead of home.

The 10% threshold mentioned by @bthanos will allow you to do what he says - arrive at your destination with 10% charge. @jobofly79 can use this to raise the level to a % (not miles) that he's comfortable with.

HOWEVER, there is NOTHING you can do to make your home charger recognized by the Ford Navigation, so if you want to arrive at home with less than the 10% threshold you set, simply ignore the recommended charger. Or, because you're nearly home, turn off the routing.

The only reason to use ford nav is if you have no cell phone signal somewhere in the middle of nowhere and CarPlay won’t route…

Good info. I was thinking if it could be added, the truck would precondition as I got within 20 miles of home. I did a trip to DC in January and the preconditioning really seemed to be valuable.

Preconditioning isn't really important when heading home, you're likely to be there an extended period of time, unless of course you're turning out another trip in short order, but being that low still requires a substantial amount of recharge time to make the next trip possible.

BTW, my suggestions concerning lowering settings was to minimize nagging while enroute to home and known destination and energy requirements to complete the trip, it's well understood from older conversation on this topic that you cant create a charging waypoint in the Ford navigation system, we've asked years ago and Ford hasn't accomodated the logic.

Yeah, the preconditioning thing would be helpful because there are times I need to do a turnaround although it’s not usually immediate. Thanks my friend!
