I got the email

24125 - the 4th was not with Tesla this year
Can you double check your date code? Yours decodes to be May 4th which is by far the earliest we have seen. So far, the recalled date codes have been limited to 5/23 - 5/31.

I guess my not getting one yet (the adapter) turned out to have a silver lining.

Maybe the Tesla management (source of the adapter design, quality control, etc., I presume) needs to focus more on their core business and less on "other" stuff?

I have another trip planned to Colorado over Christmas Holidays. If they drag out the replacement adapter deliveries the way they did the original deliveries, I’m going to have to use my old CCS zigzag course to Colorado in December. I was really hoping my zigzag days were through.

I haven’t had much confidence in Fords promises for delivery in the past, but I bet they get this done in SHORT order.

You would think the easiest way to reduce confusion and concern would be to simply publish a list. The existing appproach is the worst way to handle this! Letting us sit around and guess.

Just wrong!

I was order number 24,402 (I ordered late on 2/29/24). I received my adapter today from Ford unannounced. My adapter was manufactured on August 3rd but only shipped this past Friday, October 25th. I haven't kept up with the whole thread here, but I wonder if the delay was caused by Ford/Tesla still trying to figure out the time window for the bad batch of adapters in the interim.

I did get a notice that a FedEx shipment was on the way, but since a rep of another company had just announced he had shipped a product to me, I thought the shipment was that purchased item and was completely surprised to tear open the shipping envelope and find a box labeled FORD inside!

I did check my adapter status when I got the FedEx shipping notice, but that web page gave no indication the adapter had shipped (so I concluded it hadn't!). Even today, after receiving the adapter, the web page does not indicate fulfillment, let alone shipment status. :rolleyes:
