Wave 7 Orders & Allocations --Phone Call from Dealer

Did you guys make somebody angry at your dealer to get a 19? Or do they have 9 other unscheduled orders in front of you?

FWIW our salesperson(and dealer) are extremely nice and fair but a bit "in the dark" on the ordering process and how to work the system with regards to the way lightnings are being ordered/scheduled(as opposed to the old days of dealer orders).

I'm not sure they even know how to prioritize an order. Sotek is on the tail end of 2022 allocations and I am a Wave 7(reservation date for both of us June) so in the grand scheme of things we should be on the tail end of things.

I'm personally not gonna press the issue..the dealer has been steller so and confirmed I will be scheduled a 2022. Thats good enough for now.

They very well could have 9 orders ahead of me-- probably several ahead of Sotek

Yes..I like both Anthony and Yvonne but they seem to be not 100% all knowing of the "new" ford process. Not a knock on them....they've been great with communication and fair on price.

I've worked in customer service before..never want to be "that guy"....

Orders default to 19 and have to be changed manually when being submitted. It could be that there are orders in front of you, but it could also mean your salesperson or sales manager didn't take the time or effort to change it.

My priority was 10. I was the only wave 7 order at my dealership (all but one of their previous wave customers converted). Hopefully I get scheduled in the earliest available groups.

Long term lurker, just joined. I'm in Wave 7, and my dealer told me last week " Your Lightning is the next order in line to get scheduled for a build date." I'm OK not knowing my priority number, but I assume it is priority 1.

Agreed - They should be nice to me though - I am selling them my GT350 later this month and they are going to make some nice coin reselling it.

There are so many variables like ZEV states, some dealers getting more than others, no dealer having more than 3 or 4 in the pipeline at once, I'm not sure I see how a dealer priority would make a difference. I'm not saying it didn't, it just seems a bit hard with all of the other influencers.

Agreed - my order was Priority 19 up until production date then it switched to 10.

My dealer did get a huge amount of Lightning allocations plus in a ZEV state.

They said my Lightning is way early compared to the other 50+ orders that were placed in waves 1-5.

My wave 6 Lightning is arriving next week.

I think I have one of the fastest orders so far for a late wave 6 order.

While that's discouraging for earlier wave orders that have been stuck in a lot, it's encouraging for wave 7s. Hopefully we won't see any supply shortages or QC issues and ours will just roll off the assembly line to be shipped to us.

Order priority 10 and above only affect the build order of that specific dealer.

If that's the case I feel fairly certain that Sotek and I are OK...if 19 is the default I'm 99% sure every order from Metro was coded a 19.
