My wife refers to it it as my third and most favorite child...

Sometimes Blue Lightning makes it to the first most favourite child, especially when one of them comes home with a rack of traffic violations. Needed garage counselling that day.

Never used to name our vehicles.

Then when I got my FFE in 2017, I set up the MyFord app, the predecessor to FordPass. Picking a name became a thing.

The FFE is Kona Blue, so we named it Lecky Blue...

"Lecky" is British slang for electricity (as in, "did you pay the lecky bill?").

Since we had a name for one vehicle, we just had to name the other*. Shortly before getting her Lightning, my wife named it Black Reaction:

* being in Canada, we're all too familiar with giving something a name because it was done before. When our $1 coin was to be introduced, the government somehow lost the dies when they were being shipped to the mint. This lead to a fast re-design that resulted in the dollar we now have with a loon on it, so our buck coin became known as a loonie. When the $2 coin came along, it just had to have a name since we had the loonie. It took on the name tooney (two- ney).

I have noticed that some of you refer to your Lightning by a given name. For years my wife and I have named our vehicles. The first Lightning we got is a XLT SR that we call Blitzen as in one of Santa's reindeer (Blitzen is the german word for lightning). When we added a second Lightning to our fleet, a Lariat XR, we christened it Edison.
