Being a poet among other things, wish I'd coined it, but stole this from a student of mine way back when who came up with it. Speaks nicely to the inflated grandiosity that washes over me every time I get behind the wheel of my Lariat!

YEARS AGO (I always feel old) the University of Santa Cruz brought back their unofficial mascot of the banana slug. It was named Sammy (often not used nickname for me, given my birth name of Samuel).

First house my wife and I bought was on this one-block, dead end street. We soon became best friends with all our neighbors. Every summer we’d get a permit from the city to block off the street and we became (in?)famous for wild street parties with bands, dancing food and fun.

Given by boss and subsequent coworker for my ability to take and pass water and wastewater operator certification exams on the first attempt.
What grade did you achieve in WW Op's? Did You retire from WW?

I too started with an AOL email at 1200 baud dial up. I carried the Thunder moniker from my job as a weather tech for DoD. As some of you have noted how long on the internet. My first internet account was when there were 14 Web pages available on the World Wide Web. Thunder became a popular username so I added the dawg on it because my dog is my best friend.

So, mine is somewhat self explanatory, I was a Senior Maint Technician @ a small (10mgd/35mgd) sewage treatment plant for 21 years...

My last names means “the church” in French. I live on Church street. My nickname has been “church” for the two prior points, at work, so it just fit.

Ya, I can remember getting 56k modem, it was a big deal. Then when PacBell started offering DSL, I jumped @ the chance...wow, those were the days...and having to type in for DOS. . . seems like ages ago...

1200 baud - damn youngsters. I can remember having to drop the modem down to 110 baud because we couldn't get 300 baud to work at times. 1200 baud was a huge step up! And this was not in the sticks somewhere, this was in the Los Angeles metro area.

I like Ducati motorcycles. To be fair, I’m a bit of a fanboy. I’ll jump around car manufacturers to whatever I think suits me at the time I’m buying, but my bikes…

I would be reluctant to share this kind of information, because it puts you at greater risk to be a victim of cybercrime.
  • Where was the last place that you ate?
  • What was your first car?
  • What cars have you owned?
  • Your super hero name is a combination of your favorite food and the town that you grew up, etc
  • What is the origin of your forum name?
These are all examples to extract personal information about you that can be used to verify your identity. Some of them, like first car or history of cars, are directly part of the id verification process for banks and financial institutions. Asking about food or recent purchases gets you through credit card customer service questions. Forum names reveal other personal insights that come up through these screening questions.

It's good practice to avoid feeding that beast.

With all the prior hacks of OPM, my cell phone provider, pharmacy and umpteen other data-leakers, IDGF anymore, just use super complex & unique passwords, some Ai wizzards will have to focus on cracking the taxman

ZPrime = Zor Prime, character from Robotech: The Southern Cross. It's an anime from the 80's and a good book series. Yep, I'm a nerd. I was that kid in chess club and marching band in high school. :D

There hasn’t been privacy for over a decade. The OPM hack opened the door to everything and everyone I knew. All my stuff is locked and I unlock my credit as I need it then refreeze it.
Quite possibly, But I for one do NOT want to tempt fate . . .
For the last year I've been getting "Voice mail notifications" from hackers re: Comcast, xfinity, finity. and dozens of other iterations of such, all phishing scams....continue to block, but a new couple pop up everyday
