I think he, @tommolog and Alex on Autos are the fairest and most reliable EV-focused YouTubers out there.Probably going to trash it and say Rivian is better lol
But he does great reviews with EV’s for sure
I really like TFL reviews as well. They highlight different areas than the other channels and have a lot of fun. I also think their wheel slip test is the best I have seen.I think he, @tommolog and Alex on Autos are the fairest and most reliable EV-focused YouTubers out there.
I do think that Kyle was a little too easy on Rivian regarding the thermal issues that he experienced with the R1T. The thermal throttling issues he saw on a 500 amp charger were pretty terrible but just shrugged it off.
Given the numbers that we have, I am expecting a very nice charging curve. The important bit (@ Charging )
Ford says the ER can go from 15-80% in 41 minutes. That's ~120kw average. Since it peaks at 150kw I'd expect it to be flat up to about 50% which is great. If so, we could get from 15-50% in 18 minutes . That's where most of my charging is done anyway, and that's better than I get with my old Model S,. The Lightning can also go further per-percent of battery than my Model S. Charging could still be better down the road, I think. That's still a relatively low C rating.Given the numbers that we have, I am expecting a very nice charging curve.
I fully expect that we will see detailed charging curves from multiple sources when the time comes, so we will know soon about your 15-50% time.Ford says the ER can go from 15-80% in 41 minutes. He’s not ashamed of his fitting the stereotypical Colorado millennial. He’s a Patagonia and pair of Birkenstocks away from being the Rivian’s ideal customer. I think that’s why he has a bias towards the Rivian.Kyle is definitely infatuated with the R1T.
He has also reviewed the standard F150 - and he likes those a lot. He even used it as his benchmark against the Rivian in a Towing test.Kyle is definitely infatuated with the R1T.
Per Twitter, he just picked up an e-tron, so I doubt it.Sounds like he is doing a cross country trip with it right now.
He picked up an E-Tron for the family, but said he was going cross-country in an un-named vehicle.Per Twitter, he just picked up an e-tron, so I doubt it.
