Kind of funny along the lines of missing parts - the owner of VIN 4295 (I checked and don't see them in @TaxmanHog's listings) but you might check for missing parts !! You were a 5/23 blend built late in the day at 6:21 PM. (I was a 5/24 blend)

Let me go ahead and add I doubt they are missing parts and I don't have extra parts, the sticker just fell off in my truck.

I found this under the back seat, doesn't match my VIN. Not sure which part it represents.

WOW!! That’s hilarious!! So they basically push a Body on wheels into a parking lot and finish it as parts show up!! Well done Ford…

Seriously, best of luck with your truck.
This is not unique to Ford. Other manufacturers are doing the same thing to keep the assembly lines running since it is more cost effective and efficient.

Back in the early 1990s, I ordered a top end Dodge D350 chassis cab that was supposed to have a tilt wheel and cruise control. It was built with a regular steering column and no cruise and shipped to the dealer for delivery to the second stage manufacturer (body manufacturer). Even though the monroney sticker listed the tilt wheel and cruise control, neither the dealer nor the second stage manufacturer noticed that those two features were missing.

When I contacted Chrysler, the answer I received was that they substitute parts for options that are out of stock to keep the assembly line moving. You can thank just in time parts deliveries for this phenomenon.

I'll likely remember wrong, but we can thank Toyota for the "Just in Time" manufacturing, and then thank all of the businesses that mis judged Covid and now can't get their assembly lines running again. I truly still don't believe all the BS we are fed about what was shut down and why we can't get started again, but something is sure off the rails.

I think that it is there is a perfect storm that was set in motion (but not necessarily caused) by the pandemic, a change in consumer priorities that impacted chip production and a lack of workers in critical positions and our dependence on foreign manufacturing for critical components. We still have some countries where lockdowns still happen from time-to-time. And, this does not take into account the problems at west coast ports or with trucking logistics (the latter of which is illustrated by Ford’s problems delivering our trucks in an efficient manner).

Hoping they didn't forget anything else when they built it...

They moved my delivery from 7/16-7/22 to 7/19-7/25. Whatever delivery estimation system they have is not very good. There's nothing indicating its even on a train yet and they expect me to believe it might be here by Monday?

Correct, not on my list or the Auto Trader Study, but at least they also got a completed truck too!

They are holding your train so I can load this evening.........

I WISH, actually your train is probably already rolling (with out me) and there is a down rail delay or backup at the destination yard

This is what happened with mine, it just kept rolling over to the next week after the last day.

Finance guy didn’t take my rejection of his upsell very well. Oh well, now that I have FP access….

Ford is officially better at communicating than my dealer. I'd emailed my sales guy this morning after getting the shipped email, told him I didn't need the truck detailed through their machine wash and also needed a new buyers order for the bank, aaand nothing. Just got this email, called him and said my truck arrived - "Yeah, should have we got 4 in this morning. Saw your email that you don't want it detailed?"

Glad you saw it dude, try responding next time - he hasn't replied to my emails since I asked when I could get a test drive after their mannequin arrived a month ago. He "thinks" I should be able to pick up the truck on Thursday after they do whatever they feel like they need to do in a PDI... Oh well, in the home stretch now (I hope).

Got the same email yesterday, and we’re using the same dealer!
