Yes, sounds correct.and it's probably referring to the 12v battery, not the truck's battery pack...
When performing updates, you need to connect a battery charger to the 12V. Depending on the modules being updated, the DC-DC converter that maintains the 12V can get disabled. Being plugged in to an EVSE doesn’t help. Thanks for the tips. I was doing an update last night but was plugged in and charging. Hopefully they sort this out with a future update.
To put a finer point on that, you're referring to people doing their own updates via ForScan or similar, right? OTA updates shouldn't require someone to hook up a battery tender. When performing updates, you need to connect a battery charger to the 12V. Correct. This does not apply to OTA.To put a finer point on that, you're referring to people doing their own updates via ForScan or similar, right? OTA updates shouldn't require someone to hook up a battery tender.
Never resolved. Happen to me twice but I did noticed that it happen with these conditions:I just got the warning tonight . I have no aftermarket devices hooked up and notably received the 4.2.2 update to know . Hope they aren’t related .. @F150ROD did your issue resolve itself ?
