It was standard for 2022 models, it is an option ($500) for 2023 models. It should be in the truck if you left it selected in your order. If you are about to order, I'd encourage you to remove it and buy something better.

Doesn't come with any 2023 unless you buy it as an add-on. When I reached out to my dealer, they wouldn’t help (YMMV, my dealer sucked). When I reached out to CS they told me to talk to Marketing. When I reached out to Marketing they apologized for not updating all their marketing materials but it doesn't come with MY23.

It's not worth $250 let alone the $500 they are asking. Free? Yeah, I'd take it if it was included as a backup.

Thanks, incredibly almost 5 months into the model year and the site the Ambassador sends you to says charger is included but tells you it isn’t. Too late to add but will probably Amazon one for travel/emergency.

Getting close…

It's an OK charger, but like @BennyTheBeaver said, not worth $500. It's a very basic charger with an adapter to use for level 1 or level 2 and that's it. No other features. No display, no option to change power rate, very bulky. You'll be happier with some other brand.

Agreed, delete it and use that $500 for some other option. Plenty of better aftermarket mobile chargers available. I thought the Ford unit was great until I got something else. Much better features and durability for less money.

So I am rethinking ordering the charger. I have a build date of 5/29 after I ordered all the way back on 10/28. Think I can still revise my order or will that potentially delay my build? A savings of $300 or so is not worth a further delay of my truck.

Your window sticker has not been cut yet, there is still time to amend the order, this is a minor change

In the 7 years I have had my Tesla Model X (2016 model) with 200 miles range at 100% (now down to 186 miles with max charge), I have used the 120v adapter to charge my car exactly ZERO times.

Save your money.

Ford’s Mobile Charger is a Level 2 (240V, 32A) charger that comes with both a 14-50 plug and a standard 110V plug. It’s admirably compact, which is important for a mobile/travel setup.

It’s not a $250 charger. If you look at comparable chargers on Amazon, you’re going to spend $320-350 and those chargers lack WiFi etc. At $500, it’s really not that bad of a deal for an EV “spare tire”.

I didn’t. deselect it when I ordered, so it came with my 2023.

I used the $1500 mobile charger that came with my Taycan on several occasions when I stayed at AirBNBs in that car out in the wild. It’s not a bad thing to have with you.

It is an awful deal.

It has no WiFi capability, just like the chargers you reference. And, it has a high rate of issues, at least among Mach-E forum members that have had it.

I would not buy it - I would buy something else for much less money.

If it helps, a few of us have used this Mobile Charger:

AMPROAD iFlow P9 EV Charger Level 2, 10 to 40 Amp, 110-240V Universal EVSE, Versatile for Portable & Wall Charger (NEMA 14-50, 25 Feet Cable) https://a.co/d/6Ta55Hd

Add a couple adapters and you have a more reliable version of the FMC, with a bit more features, and for a bit less. This isn't the only one, just one I'm familiar with.

I'm confused. When you order the truck the mobile charge option is included by default with a price of $500 clearly shown. For you not to get it you would have had to deliberately uncheck that option.

So how can you complain you were misled?

Not complaining, just baffled Ford website
advertising incorrect information 8-months later.

Stating “vehicle charging equipment is not included on SR and shipped after purchase on ER” would have been helpful while ordering.
