I just got the FCSP installed on a 100A circuit. It has version 2.112.64 out of the box; the box said it was built in Nov 2022. It said it has an update pending, so I let it sit overnight not connected to the vehicle. It still said the same in the morning. So, I flipped the breaker off for 15 min, then back on. The station has the blue light on and would presumably charge my vehicle, but I've left it unplugged so the software updates. It been on, unconnected to a vehicle for 8h today and the FordPass App has said Connection Lost for the entire time, but still says update pending in the underlying stale "settings."

This is really great software.

Do I need to flip the breaker yet again, or let it sit like this for even longer?

Go ahead and and do another restart & wait process, then start using the FCSP to charge your truck, possibly the wifi will come back out of the blue assuming you have a good signal from your base station / router.

This evening I checked the status of my FCSP and it's not talking to the mothership, but is indeed connected to my network, since I was able to log into the EVSE via the network setup utility. You're probably experiencing the same issue I'm seeing, it's FORD server problem, eventually it should come back.

My most recent firmware update a few weeks ago was in PENDING status for several days, there was nothing I could do that would cajole it into installing, just give it time, maybe once or twice a week leave the truck unplugged and see what happens.

I really hate that Ford forces us to go through FordPass to connect to our FCSP. Maybe if they had competent software people, and their system wasn't based on a reel to reel tape machine from the Apollo era, I might feel different, but their app is truly pathetic.

I did another power cycle last night. The Charge Station Pro still has said connection lost and update pending for the last 15h since the second restart.

Great software!

Are the servers still down today?

I installed the fcsp on 6/3. I power cycle it several times with the breaker box and also using the reset button. I also left it off for an hour or so, and on 6/5 it showed that it updated.

Good work covering up all critical information. But tell me, if you can’t get into the charger, why would anyone else be able to? And if they could, tip them well.
I quit effing with mine and run it as a dumb(yes, it is) 80 amp charger.

I took your approach from day one of getting it installed. I always wondered about what I was missing. Apparently, I’m just missing a big headache. 🤣

I had to power cycle the FCSP this morning to get communications going again, note it takes a good 15 minutes after power on to get everything talking to one another and visible on the Connected Charge Station function in FordPass.

Does everyone connect to the same server? I executed another circuit breaker reboot this morning and my charge station is still saying connection lost and update pending 90 minutes after restoring power.

As it doesn't want to update itself after three days, it's even more annoying Siemens shipped this with an outdated firmware. I think this 2.112.64 factory software has the temperature sensor threshold error at maximum current draw.

Great outsourced software:

Not sure if it is contacting siemens or Ford for firmware, but likely Ford for status of operation.

I was following this thread to for the same issue everyone else is having.

Something I noticed today however is that that when I access the charging station through the Ford pass app, I see the old software version with the "update pending".

However, when you go through the actual ford charging station pro app, I noticed that my software version was up to date. So not sure if it's just a syncing issue. But I would presume that if the software is updated through the main app, then it shouldn't matter what the ford pass app says. But dunno.

It'll settle out in a few days, this happened to mine a few weeks ago.

It's two weeks later and the status continues: in FordPass Charge Station shows "Connection Lost" with version 2.112.64. Now it's faulting due to temperature. Another couple rounds of circuit breaker power cycling aren't fixing it.

The initial setup never broadcast the SSID. But, I manually typed in the network name and password and had to change the security type as well. Trying to repeat the initial setup with ChargeStationProSetup v1.6.0 aren't working. It doesn't find the network. Opening up the case and pushing factory reset and repeating the above isn't working either.

I guess I need to call in a warranty claim.
