Ugh, got the Powertrain malfunction / reduced power and a High-Voltage battery warning, power is reduced. I was able to borrow my neighbor's car to get to work this morning. I called my local dealer in Temecula, they said they can't fit me in until Monday (today is Friday) and a loaner will not be provided. Is there any way I can fight this? Doesn't seem right that they wont provide a loaner.

Addendum: My local Ford did end up approving a rental from Enterprise for me! I am less stressed about this now, hopefully they can figure out the issue soon.

We should add a pole to this thread to get a feel for how many people are getting the High Voltage Warning and Powertrain Malfunction alarms. It feels like I see more and more people on this forum and Facebook groups having these issues daily.

Call Ford BEV Team, try to get them on your side from the beginning.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

What has been the average time at the dealer with this issue, I am about to wrap up week four with no new information. Dealer tells me the part is a couple days out, Ford tells me the part is on a regular shipment (no idea what that means), the BEV that reached out to me back in February about this issue, (with no result with I'll admit I gave up because it wasn't getting anywhere back then) hasn't responded. Just starting to get very impatient.

Took me 11 days to replace HVJB, not a battery module. Please get in touch with Ford customer service on here and they can help both get you more details on the parts and push to get it fixed.

I made it just over 5,000 miles, trouble free until a couple days ago. My 2023 Ford Lightning Pro broke down. Now in the shop (Healey Ford in NY). High Voltage Battery Warning. The dealer called the next day and said a battery module needs to be replaced and it's a week out. I was hoping it would be a quick fix, I'm used to Fords always throwing lights and codes. My Edge and F350 throw a code at least every couple of months (EVAP, WIF, TPMS, EGT sensor). I could keep driving them, not so lucky with the lightning. So far the dealership is doing the best they can. They were able to give me courtesy vehicle after initially thinking none were available.

Has anyone done a poll asking who has had this issue and what was the build month/year of their Lightning? I can't find one.

2023 Lariat -code got thrown and it went into limp mode. Turned off and back on which got her going again and haven’t had a problem since. This happened 3 weeks after purchase (mid June 2023). Dealership looked at it and said nothing seems wrong.

I think the actual build month would probably be the most relevant information. I was told by two different dealerships that this issue affected a certain range of builds but should not be an issue past that.

Yikes. That's my build date (April '23). Perhaps yours was just a software glitch whereas earlier builds have the actual issue. At least that's what I hope is the case.

Next Tuesday will week 4 for me since the message came up and it got towed. A week later needs battery module replacement. No date available as to when a battery module will be available (dealer said they can't get info and ford EV customer service is silent). Maybe battery module is regional thing if someone got told it would be a week.

Last Friday I got the service vehicle soon error and went into limp mode. Turned it off and on and nothing since. Anyone seen the code once and not return? Wondering if I should bring into the dealer and have them look at it. (not looking forward to that experience)

I already PM'd FMC on here and they only assist customers in USA.

If it where me, (and I hate going to the dealer too) I'd ask the dealer to check the battery modules. I don't want to get stranded and would rather take in on its own power to get some peace of mind.
